Gearheads of War

Gears has the perfect opportunity of creating a movie script that we havent' seen.  What I mean is the movie could be about Emergence Day and all the doings that put Marcus in prison.  If they did this, then a young fresh face wouldn't really be out of the question.  A relatively unknown, so to speak.  In fact, a whole new cast could be introduced, except for whomever plays Dom and Hoffman.  

That would leave EPIC to the game's storyline continuing where we left off and being a perfect tie-in to what they have already established.  I wonder if this was all part of Cliffy's master plan?

It could work.  Everyone would be going to a movie, not knowing what to expect, as opposed to when (if) we go to see Halo in the cinema.  We'll know what is going to happen each step of the way and will have our expectations weighing against the film.  In the case of Gears going to the beginning for the film, they would be able to present new material that has no great expectation/comparison to what we beleive it should be.  

The more I think about this approach the more I think it a fun idea, and this could be one way that a film based on a game can break out of mediocrity and be a surprise!  That's what I'm taling about!
