    yes you can splitscreen with one person so 2 people total.

    For downloading the beta with crackdown go to the main menu and choose downloads wait a few seconds and at the bottom it will say download the halo 3 beta. After it has download go back to the same downloads menu and now choose play halo 3 beta from the crackdown menu.
