Awesome but where are the Elite?

If you play the game with elite, where are they on this battlefield.  Kind of a shocking absence.  And...why havent we heard or seen any sign or speak of the Flood?  I like that all the fights are going to be finished, but I am getting a queezy feeling that the Elite and Flood are going to be sidelined as in consequential just to show off new Brute designs and AI.  I'm hoping I'm wrong, but you got to wonder a bit after such an amazing graphic presentation of the monumental event that this battle portrays.

And why would the Master Chief ever allow himself to be taking prisoner?

Guess we'll have to wait for the game, but I sure hope all our old friends are there....Elite and Flood.

And why would the Master Chief ever allow himself

to be taking prisoner?"

So he could directly or indirectly, end up pwning some bitches. Because really, when you're Master Chief (or the Big MC as he likes to be called) and you've kicked 10 kinds of ass in 100 different ways, you gotta get creative.

good point

where are the Elite on the battlefield?! Perhaps the Elite are fighting the flood this putting both to the side?

Overall I love the Elites, but the flood could be used better than in Halo 2. I hope their in there some where at least.

Good point boris

Two Fronts

SweetTea,

I was thinking on that after my earlier comment and kind of came to the same assumption that maybe the Master Chief and Arbiter are fighting on two fronts.  This epic battle was a fight the MC had to face himself for humanity vs the covenant, and that the game carries on to the grand finale vs the flood and either their containment or destruction with the assistance of the Elite.  I could imagine the Elite aren't honor bound to save humanity, but honor bound to contain the flood at all costs...Possibly at the cost of their own existence.  Oooh, deep plot line moment.  Launch can't get here fast enough.

I thought about the same thing!

If the Elites have joined the fight on the side of humanity, where are they in this epic battle?

I think they

somehow get wiped clean from existence (reference to the Mayans where every so many years a new "world" begins, let it be by genocide, or any other means of a totally different way of life) and it's a battle of the Species where whoever survives creates a new Society / way of life.
