    My two choices are normally the M-16 for medium/long range maps & the MP-5 for close quarters.  My normal perks choices are 3 frag grenades, stopping power, and deep impact.  Stopping power is still useful in Hardcore mode because it still bumps up the damage by a +25% modifier according to Infinity Ward.  The three round burst from the M-16 packs a punch regardless of the burst feature.  The accuracy & range of such a basic rifle makes it a solid choice to putting rounds on the target.  This week's FFF was very fun regardless of the team balancing issues.  You either got onto a team that completely dominated or got dominated.  There was no real "close" game by any means.  Perhaps we can assign teams to make it more balanced?
