If you haven't yet, please do, or at least vote.  (I think there is enough text in the poll options, to give help you pick the representative choice.)

In the meantime, let me jump in here and respond to some of your posts.

Zos, your answer pleases me because you seem to be of the opinion that the randomness that Cliff intentionally has placed in the game, is more rolling a 20 on a 20 sided die, than getting heads on a coin (1:20 as opposed to 1:2). I think that bodes well, actually for people with my kind of lag.  At least if I am benefiting from my lag, I certainly do it unknowingly.  ha ha ha

    DEGREES, yep.  LOL

Boxin, great idea.  I think Zos and rED ran a bunch of "tests" that informed us about the Torque Bow.  I can't remember the specifics, but I remember being impressed.

SweetTea, the fact is, that even with all the whining and complaining about Gears 1, we still feel that Gears is actually less "unacceptable" (more acceptable) than all the other games out there...or we wouldn't keep playing it.  At the very least, we are willing to overlook its flaws for the joy it gives us.  To that extent, maybe we are a crazy community, all of us masochistic!  LMAO

But, that does beg another question.  If Gears 2 is still full of shenanigans, would the people here still play it as much as we will have played the first game, or are people going to say, "No, I gave you your chance.  No more."?

I am raising my hand here to say that even if it is so broken that it requires "House rules", I will still be more interested in playing Gears 2 than any other game.  "More, more!  Harder!  Twist harder!"

All that is gold does not glitter.

You posed the questions " If Gears 2 is still full of shenanigans, would the people here still play it as much as we will have played the first game, or are people going to say, "No, I gave you your chance.  No more."?"

I think we are almost forced to support Gears 2 because of all of our pledged fanboyism. Sure we'll express our initial disappointment but I think most of us will do more defending than criticizing. I think that statement is proven when the following hypothetical situation is thrown out there- If Gears 2 has as bad, or worse in terms of connection issues online the usual Fragfest game would still be Gears 2. At least for a long while.

Now let me be clear and announce that I don't think Gears 2 will be anywhere near as bad as the original. I honestly think Epic knows the issues they needed to deal with and wouldn't release another Gears the same way. So, I think Gears 2 will  have very little resemblance in terms of those connection issues online to the original.
