You have to remember that with a console, you buy it soley to play games. A gaming PC on the other hand, has the capabilities to do anything that a regular PC can PLUS gaming. So in reality, the price of PC gaming really isn't that high. If you want to buy a good new computer (for work, school, etc.), you are going to have to drop a good $500. To make it a gaming PC (plus a better overall PC) all you need to do is add say $500 in upgrades. If you look at it this way, you are basically buying a new computer along with a PS3 and having it all in one place. I think I just confused myself and everyone else more than I meant to...
