I have just always found myself totally agreeing with Cliff on his design choices, of which he has often been quite vocal - especially as regards Bungie's choices for Halo (two different characters for co-op mode, and shorter cutscenes, jumping etc.).  All of Bungie's design choices are objectively arguably just as good or better than Epic's with the one exception of two Master Chiefs for co-op.  They established in the novels that there were several Spartans.  They should have used them for the co-op modes, in my opinion.
