    companies do this.  Why cant it be available to everyone or an unlockable.  Ive never been a fan of LE or CE just cuz its not my thing.  But I support the games and the studios all the way so why because Im not spending that extra 20-30$ cant I have that special gun?!?!?

      to reward people for spending the extra money. Why spend the money on a limited edition if you are not going to get anything special in return. You give them extra money. They give you extra content.

        part but I think its retarded.  They have the art work and other behind the scenes shit there.  But this extra gun for that extra money is bullshit IMHO.

              just hate when they give in game things to the ppl that spend more.  Give all the extra shit you want I wouldnt care but ingame stuff should be saved for in game acheivements thats just my 2 cents.  There was a time when the diary was posted about the LE that I thought about getting it but I just couldnt justify it.  Especially with me getting LBP and Resistance2 all within weeks of each other, and maybe even Left4Dead.  When I heard about EA charging for their golden guns before the community backlash that was when I told myself I wouldn't buy that game and I havent.

                 it's only $10 more, it's not like some of the other LE that have come out and been around $100 or more (Halo Legendary)  They have to make people WANT to buy the LE that's why it's Limited.  It's well worth the extra $10 without a golden lancer IMO.

                Extras for an LE/SE should ALWAYS be non-digital, and that includes "Making of" videos as well.  Everyone knows they will be out on the web before you even go to the midnight launch.  The Extras must be things like Art Books, Cases, and Figures, a CD Soundtrack (even though that too, will probably be ripped and leaked).  I will never pay money or points for any gun/armor etc.  Only for entire map packs, or full blown expansions.

                Anyway, if the price isn't too high, I will be buying the LE, if for no other reason than that may be the only way I can get my hands on 3 different copies of the game from Play Asia.  (Ultimately, I really like the extras they are including it, and I want them and will support them.  So, the little code for the gun is just gravy.)

                do NOT buy it for the gun.  Buy it because you want the picture of Maria...oh, and Dom. ;) and the art book.  Otherwise, hold fast.  Don't support that kind of marketing, if you don't like it.  Like I said in my other post, if I buy it, it will be for entirely different reasons.

      but in this case, it's just looks, it's not a completely different weapon.  It's not worth getting worked up over simply because it's a different color.  Now, if they did something like add a scope to the lancer or something along those lines, then I'd be pissed.
