    sedan that had only 20,000 km on it, the other was the Mitsubishi K.  The metal they use in cars, even of the same models as they sell in the U.S. is thinner, and overall the cars just don't last as long here.  They are neither built for the distances or the speeds of the North American market.  That and the fact that there is a bi-annual compulsory "tune-up" for used cars, that makes buying a new car not seem so expensive.

    Still, both insurance and the vehicles themselves are much cheaper here, like thousands cheaper.  (The roads themselves, however are not - almost all highways are toll.)
