THEY'RE MAKING A EFFING ONG BAK 2 AND NOBODY FELT THE NEED TO SAY ANYTHING?!?!?!?! You all seriously need to go pick up the first and watch it. A classic in Kung-Fu esque movies. Ong Bak 1 was actually when I started getting into Muay Thai. Not with the poser-filled MMA and UFC crap today.

Tony Jaa is just crazy when it comes to Muay Thai. He just executes everything so perfectly. He actually hits people in the head and body in the movies, but if you look closely (for example in Ong Bak 1) some people who have long hair look like their head in misproportioned, but that's because they wear a helmet since an elbow can easily crack a skull.

Here's one example when he does it for shows or something:

And here's an example of how high this crazy bastard can kick.

      •  Yes, the Ong Bak 2 trailer caught my eye, too. (none / 0)

He does perform all his stunts, apparently.  He is crazy, but I found myself getting bored of his constant elbowing.  Also, it just seemed to me that a fist could reach father than an elbow - seemed like an inherent weakness in the art.  That was just my impression upon watching the first movie.  I know very little about the art itself.

Checking out the YouTube links now.

        •  The reason (none / 0)

with the lack of fists and punching is because the Muay Thai art is focused soley on elbows, kicks, and knees. It's all about agility and stamina. I don't know anything particular per se. These are just all observations of the Art I've seen in his movies. And once you get thick enough calices on your elbows, you won't feel a thing when you strike anything with them. Which also helps when a skull cracking is in need.
