For 3Suns and his boys along with Hollowcell, you guys can rest a bit easier knowing that MS, Epic, and Japan have reached a somewhat tentative agreement. Gears 2 will see its way to the land of the rising sun. MS hurriedly retracted their statement because it was apparently too early to announce the launch plan. It has been moved to "sometime in 2009." If this is indeed true, our Asian bruthas will have access to all DLC and future update without XBL's current IP filtering.

I'll admit flat out that I'm a graphics whore.  If things don't look beautiful and make my mouth drop on the floor, I'm not as interested in playing it as I once was.  It's one of the reasons I sold my Wii.  The thing looked like crap on my HDTV.

I am officially on vacation till Jan 5th!  That means lots of present wrapping for the kids (got them a Wii this year) and drinking spiked egg nog.

I picked up Left 4 Dead at Gamestop today.

Want to find some Gearheads to run through the campaign (and MP).

It wasn't the weather. It wasn't angry neighbors bearing shovels and pick axes.

It turns out Snowzilla's biggest foe -- the one who felled the controversial but much-loved giant -- was a notice-bearing city code enforcement officer.

That's right, Snowzilla was abated.

It was just a few years ago that 16-foot-tall Snowzilla arose in a residential yard in Airport Heights, launching an annual procession of local gawkers and an international media blitz.

It's a Festivus miracle!  I guess that means that I don't have to air my grievances with Microsoft this holiday season.  But I do have to wrestle Blankman until he pins me in order for it to be over.

Any way, it will supposedly be shipped out tomorrow so I'm hoping I'll get lucky and it will get back to me by the end of the week or early next week.  If I'm lucky, it will be Friday and I might be able to join for a FFF.  I've participated in far too few of those lately.

Speaking of which, does anyone want to talk about FFF?  Blank, how was the LAN party?  I was planning on coming until two things happened: number one being that my Xbox died.  The second being that my birthday date with my wife was postponed a week because my daughter was vomiting last Saturday.  So my wife and I had my birthday celebration last night.

Any way, I'll be watching UPS tracking all week to see when my Elite will show up at my door.  A part of me wishes that Microsoft would really give people the option to even paid for expedited shipping on the way back.  Seriously, I'd pay an extra $15-20 just to get the thing back sooner.  I've got all these great games sitting there simply unplayed.

Hey all, just thought I'd drop by and give a little season's greetings to everyone!  I'm off of school for the next five weeks, so maybe I can get to play with some of you guys again.  Oh, and sorry I didn't mention this earlier, but the reason you guys were seeing me online about a month ago was because we got Live to work in my dorm, but the firewall is strict, so I couldn't actually play with anyone online.  SORRY to all those who sent me invites, I know I should have sent a message, and I am deeply apologetic to all.  If you see me online now, I should be more available (although I might be with friends a lot of the time).  Again, just thought I'd say a little hello, and I also wanted to congratulate you all for making this community what it is today.  This site has grown since I joined a couple months before Gears 1 released, and it looks like you guys are doing really well.  Keep on truckin' Gearheads!  Happy Holidays!

Had I the money/time/space for yet another console, this video alone would sell me on the PS3.  As far as I know, LittleBigPlanet is not just a furniture mover, but an entire platform game building suite.  However, until I saw that MGS vid, the only application for that suite that I thought I might be interested in, was to create awesome Presentations (a la PowerPoint - a substitute).  Now that they have added "guns" however, building a great "2D" scroller would be a snap, and a ton of fun.

Ok, first things first.  I am asking for some community love in this diary.  These re-caps take at least an hour and sometimes as much as 3 or 4 hours to write.  Last week, there were so few posts/replies, I decided I wouldn't write the next one.  But that is just pouting and there are fun stories to tell, so why not?  Here it is.

Second, please feel free to nominate people, including yourself, for awards that are either missed, or even already given to someone else.

I'm no longer going to be in any more FFF's. My xbox didnt die or anything, but I'm officially done with Gears 2. I took that piece of shit and threw it right where it belongs.. in the trash. If anyone wants to play CoD: World at War, which IMO, is a fuck-ton more fun than Gears 2, send me an invite.. and of course some Rock Band 2 as well. Also, if anyone wants to go back to Gears 1 any day soon, I'll be more than happy to join. I'm not even going to bother waiting for EPIC to fix this game. I just played a few games with Kenai and co. , and had absolutely NO fun. Personally, I hate the game, and I'm not trying to change anyones mind here. I'm just letting you guys know that I no longer will be playing Gears 2, and I probably wont be in any more FFF's. Adios, fellas.
