Last week I posted in a Diary that some made about having problems with their Xbox 360. I stated in that diary that "knock on wood that i have not had a problem with my 360 since I picked it up back in February". Well Thursday night I had my brother over and we were playing Graw. What better way to practice are team work to get us ready for Gears. Well about an hour into playing when the game  Freezes up. So I Check the disc and restart the game and again the game stops. So I let it sit over night and try the game on friday morning.Again I start playing and it freezes. so this time I try another game to see maybe its just the game and not the 360. So I put in dead rising and I have no problem but it sounds like the fan is really working hard. So I turn it off and head out for work. Come Saturday I try Graw again and it freezes up. This time I unplug all the cords and make sure none of the cords were loose.Reconnect and power up the system and then Bam Three flashing red lights and a black tv.

I call the nice automated customer support number that came with my 360. I am reading the options that are listed. Press 2 if you are experiencing three flashing red light. So I press 2 and they tell me to retart the xbox. Check already tried that. Unplugg the cords and replugged them. check already did that. Okay unattach the hard drive if you have one and then retart. Check tried that too.
Next thing I did was too call back and talk to an actual person. Tell them that I followed the directions on the automated number and they tell me right now their system is down and they can not put in a call to tech support to call back around 9pm est.

So I call back sunday morning and speak to a different person. They have me go threw the same thing that I did on saturday and I do it one more time and I  still have three flashing red lights. This time they ask me what color is the power light. I tell them its green and they said that was a good sign. But again their computer system was down and they told me to call back in 24hrs and they gave my a reference number to give when I call back.

Right now I am frustrated.Because I am with out the 360 and gears of war is only a couple of weeks away. does any body know what kind of turn around they have with reparing their 360.Is my hard drive going to be deleted.

    right now i have the same problem but they are repairing mine now but they determine if there is something wrong with the hard drive or the system most likely they will tell you to return the system with nothing else

      When did yours go, and did you have to send it in or did MS send you a box to send it in?

      I'm freaking out right now, cause GOW is practically here and I don't know when I'm going to get it replaced.  I called into MS and they sounded like the box was coming from them to ship my 360, but another friend of mine just suffered the same fate and called in, only to find out he had to mail his in.  I'm getting concerned that I didn't hear them properly.  What was your experience.

    is most likely safe. Call them again, tell the person what happen and what steps you've already gone through. Make sure you get your systems register and have them send a box so you can place the SYSTEM ONLY, no hard-drive, cord or anything. Just the system. You seen it to ups, they'll take it to microsoft, then fix it, then send it back to you.

    Theirs a sorta a high possibility you may not recieve your system by November 7th.
    My 360 got messed up on September 23th and im recieving it tommorrow! It'll be october 17th, the day i get my system.

    Also, make sure you do not get angry at the agents, they might take longer ;-/.

    Make sure you call them though, and review the steps with your agent and ask them what can be done to fix the system.

    and i live in michigan, and i got mine back in a week and a half...they get fixed and this is how it goes
    4 days to get box
    4 days to them
    2 days to fix
    4 days to you

    could go faster, but i called jus now to verify what im saying, and thats what they said...depends on how far u live from texas as to how fast the shipping is i suppose

      Did you do this recently or weeks ago?  I'm getting conflicting details on how the process works.  I called mine in on Saturday, so I'm hoping to see the box in four days.  I'm in Texas, so hope to be back in action before too long.
