Think there will be anymore information?

Mon Oct 16, 2006 at 10:17:42 PM EST

We are getting closer and closer to emergence day, and my anticipation keeps going up and up.  I cant stand it anymore, feel like I need to be diagnosed with OCD.  As the clock clicks down though, Microsoft or Epic seems not to want to release any more info towards the game, and I want some more than ever, bad.  Is this normal, should I be wrong?  Should they really be spending more time trying to make the game instead of feeding my craves of new trailers or just some plain info?  Or is Microsoft and Epic making a mistake, by having casual gamers(It saddens me to know how many people have never heard of Gears)see what it is all about with a massive advertising blitz to rev up some Hype?

  •  I think I've seen enough... (none / 0)

to know what the games going to be about. If I see anymore it ruin the experience for me. As for new screenshots and such someone is bound to sneak a camera shot during the "AFTER DARK" event at all those EB's and GameStops. So expect something to surface after october 21st

  •  If they (none / 0)

do it where they give you a little info then wait, you'll want it more. That's why there was nothing new before X06.
  •  Has MS built this all up on purpose or by fault. (none / 0)

No doubt GeOW looks awesome and we are all craving to get our hands on it, but that all makes me think that MS hasn't done enough to give us the gaming experiences we want a +year after the 360 hit the market.  How many titles has Epic put out for the 360 since launch?  I don't know, but I am burned out on COD2, GRAW, and Halo2 (sorry).

In all the correspondence I've read there really seems to be a desperation for something new, and I just find it a bit dissapointing that there isn't more on the market to play.

I think a fair comparison will be how many titles the PS3 gets out in their first year.

Further, How long will we(gamers) be willing to wait for the next GeOW, after this one is a success?  And, once the game is out what level of online content do you all expect to see?

how long did we wait after Halo 2 for the next game to be the big hit...umm since nov 9...till nov 8th 2006 (GeOW). I think they arent cranking em out like we want, so that way, when their next AAA title comes out, more will buy. If they released Halo 3, then GeOW2 a day after, i wouldnt be as inclined to buy GeOW2, because i still havent beaten Halo 3....makin any sense?

  •  Too Much Info=Bad (none / 0)

I dont like to know too much about a games story line or gameplay elements before I actually play it.
I would rather discover it on my own and say "oh crap did you see that" than read about it on a forum or blog and say " oh ok this is where this is supposed to heppen"
