[Editor's note: I figured the Gearheads would want to hear about our little random Gearhead gathering tonight, but illus beat me to it. Oh and if you run into Bunrei online, beware, he's a badass. - papi blez]

All I can say is tonight was some of the funnest Gears matches I've ever had.  Up until today basically I had put up with a lot of ranked match bullshit.  I just couldn't put up with the complete unfriendliness and lack of teamplay on there so I was really close to giving up on the game entirely.  

Well out of no where I ended up playin' with some of the great folks here at Gearheads and my faith has been fully restored as now I feel I can get some consistently fun matches in, and dodge all that randomness that ranked and even unranked offers.  Man did we have some close games...this is the reason why we need team ranked matches!  *Prays to the Update Gods*

Big thanks to papi blez, Zozo fan, and the others I missed cause I forgot your names... I know there were twins involved lol.  You know who you guys are...matter of fact ya'll should post up in here because I'm forgetful and I missed some of your names.  I was Bunrei by the way.    See you guys on the battlefield!

    I had an awesome time.  We might have to make this a regular Friday night Gearheads hookup.  I was a multiplayer virgin until tonight, so thanks for popping my MP cherry.

    Oh and I apologize to those of you who got stuck on my team...unlike American Express, being related to the lead designer does NOT have its advantages.  I did find myself laughing pretty damn hard though.

    I just hope to get better.  Some of you guys were frickin deadly with that sniper rifle.

    Playing with your friends is what it's all about. I had fun and will send you guys I don't have on my list an invite. Papi, I didn't know that was your first multiplayer outing, you did great compared to some of the first timers I've come across.

    yeaaa! It was awesome. Except when we lossed....hey- I say we start challenging other websites...just a thought...

    one other note- last night after playing with you guys, I realized that I was feeling the same basic, simple pleasures I did back when Halo came out. The only thing is this was more fun....good work cliffy!!!

    Multiplayer is great when your rollin with a good crowd, and getting your head handed to you (literally) can still be fun.  Not since Mortal Combat has a game made dying look so damn good.  You bet I'll be up for another Gathering.  

    Hey ya'll, Papi's right about one thing, being related to the designer doesn't make you Billy Bad Ass, it just makes you Target No. 1.  Way to hang in there and dish out some major punishment Papi.  Once we balanced the teams a bit, even Papi was a hero, so don't let him fool you.

    Thanks to all the players who made it fun! Hack Cell and his evil twin had my back more than once.  

    Ready to finish all the Fights!

    Yeah there you go the Hackcell twins lol.  I was trying to remember their names.  Boris what was your name again?  Everyone else I finally recall the names now after the posts.

    I had no idea that was your first MP match either blez, you did pretty damn well, and we all had our moments.  It wasn't one sided at all.  

    And yeah this should definitely be a weekly thing.

    Man, I had a blast! It was great to play with you all. It was great to play at all actually. Probably by tomorrow my network will be so convoluted with all the returning students that I won't be able to get online :(. I'm glad I got a piece of the action while I could! Thanks for the great games!

    It was probably the 2nd funnest ive played. (1st = EPIC)

    Papi was target #1 in the beggining, but started curbstomping everyone and doing very well considering it was his first time playing multiplayer!

    I now call him Edward Norton. (reference to AMERICAN HISTORY X)

    Remember how i played on gridlock, kept killing everyone till i brought my guest, (can't play split screen.)

    Anyways, it was really fun to play with gearheads, i'll enjoy playing with you guys soon.
