Friday Night Gearheads...Take 2

Well we had some of the old faces from last week, some new faces, and some random cool peeps/assholes cough*carnage*cough

This one ran MUCH longer.  We all seemed to be well ready for this one.  Damn Boris, myself, Corpse Grinder, fr33climb, Zozo Fan, MDK, DieNasty, Mel o Rama, and probably one or two I'm missing right now.  *It's friggin late -_-)  

All I can say is; MAYHEM!MADNESS!HYSTERIA!CHLAMYDIA!SPIDERS!ROCKETS!

My favorite moment of the night, as I'm sure most who played would agree, was when Tyler papi literally took the head off of some random chodejockey named Carnage with a boomshot.  Literally, the guy didn't even blow up, his head just latched on to the rocket and flew into oblivion.  The dead folks chat turned into boisterous laughter as it literally sounded people were about to piss themselves from so much cackling.  Carnage of course didn't think it was so funny, and proceeded to call me a fag lol.  At which point I laughed even harder because it became that much more ridiculous.  

Then of course Papi yet again made the highlights tonight.  (He was on a roll of hilarity tonight folks) Me and another random named GrimReaperr had downed Papi with our pistols.  I was certain Reaper had gotten the down so I stood over Papi waiting for Reaper to execute him.  He apparently was expecting that I was going to execute him. Well, due to failed communication, hilarity ensued.  Papi got up, blew me into 4 pieces with a shotgun blast, booked it backward and proceeded to win the round all by himself.  

There were some insanely hysterical moments as one would expect as I already explained.  The night definitely belonged to Tyler papi, he most certainly stole the stage of mirth tonight.  These matches have become the highlight of my GoW gaming experience and I can't thank these folks at Gearheads enough for making such a great community with great people.

    I thought you guys were just showing me mercy or talking shit while doing a little dance over my prone body.  I couldn't figure out why you guys wouldn't just curb stomp me into oblivion.

    I had a blast except for the 10 times Fr33climb grenade tagged me.  A few times I was like four feet away from him when I heard the thunk.  I was like, WTF!!!!

    But seriously, I had an awesome time and feel like I got a little better tonight.  My second time playing multiplayer.

    This is definitely the way to play Gears...with a really good bunch of guys who just enjoy the experience.  And I've just gotta say, Zoso is an F'N BEAST.  Dude pwns.

      no man it was silent, I shot you from the right and Reaper shot you from the left and he got the down.  So I ran up and I was ABOUT to shoot you, then i figured I didn't want Reaperr to get pissed that I took his kill.  I thought he was just aiming with his pistol.

    I couldnt go :(. I got on at like 4-ish EST. I got an invite from Damn Boris but didnt see him online all night.I messed up my time zones. I was so pumped to play with you guys so I ended up leaving my xbox on almost till 12:00 am looking for you guys :S Maybe once I figure out the time difference I can play with you guys.

  •  Yeah! Friday Night Fights! (none / 0)

    The matches are pretty competitive.  This week we established the use of random teams, and low and behold it worked out for some good team sets (Really, no one wanted to be too obvious about gunning for Papi).  In the spirit of the site, we are working in a few modifications to the game sets, trying to enhance the fun factor.  The games have all been in Execution, so that eveyone has a chance to perform a satisfying finishing move (U must not hesitate grasshpopers Bunrie and GrimmReaper) or be a hero and revive your buddy (just in time for him to be knocked down, revived, knocked down...sometimes your just bait).  We are trying to find the right balance of down but not out time, cause 5-sec may be a bit too short.

    In time, we might come up with a few game variants to suggest, but until then we are open to suggestions to try in our next gathering.  Suggestions?

    Oh, and I'll Second illus (aka Bunrei), ol'Papi is getting hi game on, so let's give Papi a "Most Improved" kudos for "Friday Night Fights: 2"!

    P.S. - Sorry we missed you BoxinLeprechaun.  Look for random Gearheads Play over the weekend!

    Yea I sure did have a lot of fun. After hearing about some of the "one time only" moments that happen. Oh, and about that whole not killing Papi thing...... Yea, live and learn I guess, hehe.

    Not at my house so it's probably the NAT, I shall be home tomorrow! Never Fear!

    got to play a couple matches, and I pretty much sucked it up most of the time.  My apologies to my two teams, I'm working on honing my MP skills and learning the maps!  Can't wait to do this again it made for a great Friday night!
