Zune worth it?

I have only just started researching the Zune player and would like to know if any of you have it? I would like to know if it is worth it to actually buy that or just replace the ipod that was stolen from me when someone broke into my car. I remember reading somewhere that Sweettea was planning a college persuasive essay on this? Comments?

30GB over the ipod video, but the ipod touch over the new zune. I saw the new zune when the Microsoft lady came into best buy and I really wasn't impressed. I would rather have my current 30gig (which I love) than the new ones coming out.

about the new Zunes, but I can say that they'd have to be mighty fine to warrant purchassing one over an iPod Touch. I used a Touch in an Apple store, and it was out of this world. I think my favorite thing is just surfing the net on it.

Get a zune unless you want to look trendy and waste your money. Then get the touch.

  iPod touches won't last too long I don't think. I have a feeling they are really easy to break... oh wait, that's all iPods :P. Did I mention the zune is a durable tank?

It comes out tomorrow and I can't be more pumped to get the software upgrades...zoso, machete and I can tell you the stories of "back in teh day" when Zune software didn't work. That is hopefully history tomorrow!
In short, yes- get the new Zune.

    And yes I am getting into the nitty gritty of the persuasive essay on why the "Zune is a viable alternative to the IPod".....I've an uphill battle though....!

        have the same feel. I really don't like the new scroll feature on the new 80gb and mini zunes. They look pretty nice, but overall, I still prefer my current zune.
