Blankman is the Best

From the minute i connected to my official first multiplayer match of COD4, the echoes of Blankman's glorious warcrys were sent through my headset bringing joy to my heart. Yes, from then i knew it would be another great Friday Night Fragfest. The first round i played was on the boat level at night (steller MP map btw) and i quickly got hold of the familiar feel of the beta. Without ramblin' i have to say, this is one SOLID online shooter. After some solid rounds messing with hardcore mode and checking out some maps, it wouldn't let me connect to the room... and then i got a disc unreadable error. Needless to say, i had to go out and get my xbox replaced today, so last night came to an immediate halt.

Any one have other experiences to share? Be sure to check out StarborneRanger's diary post here: http://gearheadsofwar.com/story/2007/11/10/42719/800

I agree

Blankman is the best.... I might go pick up call of duty 4 today, considering i worked last night (and well into this morning, got home at 4 am ugh) but hey, I made $100 cash woot. So i might go pick it up.

Yes.

For the short time I was on, I had a great time (especially with Blankman). I really think that this makes a great fragfest game because we can have up to 9 of us go into matchmaking on the same team. Oh and zoso, can you help me out with the crytek editor? It won't let me open it because it says I need to be an admin... I'm the only user on my computer!!! Also, how do you unlock very high in crysis? I can run everything on high with a great framerate at 1680x1050 and I want to see what my comp is really capable of.

ok well first...

you have to send a money order for about $200 to me, then you have to find and capture a bearded man. Any bearded man will do. Then you must run go to the centre of the earth and fill out an application, which is quite difficult as it usually just bursts into flames. Give them to the bearded man about 12 seconds after you capture him, and then have the bearded man watch you while you load up Crysis.

Worked for me...

Thanks.

That wasn't it, but I ended up figuring it out. I had to send it to a new folder because I couldn't access the one it was saving to.

LOL

Thanks guys!  It's been three weeks since I attended our normal FFF & I really missed playing with the usual suspects.  What makes our FFFs so great is the camaraderie that we've developed.  COD4 has got some legs since it allows so many Gearheads in the same game at one time.  I prefer COD4's multiplayer over Halo 3's.  I guess it's because COD is grounded to a more realistic warfare than Halo is.  We practically won every game on Saturday night (only lost two) until we ran into a group that had so much silver in their rankings that they pretty crushed us.  JohnEmidnight happened to be separated from us since we totaled 10 players, & he told us that the coordination & communication with that team was rock solid.  They called out where the enemy was & had the buildings assigned by alphabets.  For instance, they would call out, "There's two going into Building A & three on the second balcony of Building C."  Each of them had a specialized class that they assumed.  The snipers were covered by a spotter who guarded their six & assaulters had cover fire beinf laid down from from heavy gunners.  Wow!  That's freaking amazing!  I can't wait for our next FFF!  Good times with good people! :)

Gears is my Star Wars! Wooohhh!!!

Im

so glad that by the time I was able to get on (in my drunken state Sorry) I was met with these fools!  As much as I hate getting my ass kicked I really have a great time playing with gearheads.  Which we've turned into a daily event.  And the conversations that we have in the middle of each game is just unreal.

No surprise

that Blankman's war cry was a highlight of the evening!

Would have liked to have heard it.  :)

Gears is my porn.

Loved playing with Gearheads

We had a blast!!

Blankman's Screams were icing on the cake.

Best MP experience for me.  Not that I don't love Gears, but this is something special in a new way.

I love when the

actual characters say if/when they kill someone, you're losing an objective or the player beside you is reloading. They really did a good job with immersing you into the game.
