It's been a good run,

Its been a while since I wrote a diary, heck, probably most of you new guys haven't even seen my name seeing as it has been so long since I have wrote one.  Been a long wait for Gears, and been playing it for a while now, and well, I never seem to have interest any more to visit this site.  I just dont see it anymore like I used to.  Nobody's fault, guess I just get bored of stuff easily.  So as others have done, this will probably be the last thing that I write for a while.  Just gotta move on to new things.  And I will be back when there is talk of Gears 2, you can count on that.  But right now, Gears to me is, well, old news, and even with new maps and things, just cant keep to the hype.  Papi, Zoso, Starborne, and the others that have been there since the beginning, was fun being nerds (sorry), hyping about Gears and how awsome it would be.  Cheers.  O and, last time I was here, you were on vacation Papi, hope you had a nice one.

discussing a game is even more interesting after it's out. Also, this site is definately not strictly Gears of War. Lots of other stuff is discussed.

  •  i kinda of agree on gears front (none / 0)

Without no new game types i've been slipping back into halo 2 on XBL or viva otherwise. i still love gears but it was getting boring after you play the same games over and over again. see the latest post by boris, its time for Epic to get some sparks going.

At the same time gearheadsofwar is one of the game based sites i check almost everyday, bungie.net and HBO being the other two. you guys are awesome.

I'm enjoying Gears more than ever right now. 3/4 through the hardcore campaign.

My playing went, beat single player on casual, didn't play much for a while, started dabbling in online multi-player a bit, that was fun, then decided to go through campaign on hardcore for achievement points. Maybe playing a couple hours every other night or so.

I'm really, really enjoying the hardcore campaign. I have a feeling I play about 10% as much as some of you guys, you are hardcore.

I'm the type who likes to bite off one thing at at time, so I'll go back into a little multiplayer after I finish hardcore. I doubt I'll try it on insane. I like the game but not enough to punish myself with it.

I'd say this is a classic game at this point. Best game I've played since Halo 1.

I don't think you should give up on the site, if only you come to it each day, it would only take a few minutes.  There are some really good people here and that is rare on the internet.

  •  Hey man (none / 0)

we'll miss ya around here, but I understand how "real life" can get in the way. I'm in mine final semester of my senior year, so my own contributions to the site will be down as well. You shouldn't go cold turkey, though. Stop by once a week or so, just to say hi.

  •  I have an interview coming in (none / 0)

the next few days that I think you'll find interesting, but to me this site is about finding other people who love Gears (I'm about half way through Act 4 now on insane) and share a passion for gaming.

This was about building community around the love of Gears and not just about Gears.
