I'm back.

Now, coincedentally this is soon following TexasTraps post, but my 'box arrived this morning with the UPS mail; exacly 20 days after it first broke.
I suppose what I should tell you is this: The Party Has Arrived! (I kid, I kid). Anyway.
So, it'll be good to be back with you guys fragging away.
Best of luck with those who are still without the 'box (I found toaster strudels strangely comforting during this period, strangely enough), I've got a feeling I'll be being host shotgunned and curb stomped amongst the gearheads quite soon.

  •  welcome back (none / 0)

this is what i was asking for to see how fast or slow support folks are. 20 days seems a lot to me, in theory i'd prefer a local store/location where i can take a broken xbox and get it back within a day or so, just like my pc.
  •  Microsoft has been very gracious though. (none / 0)

Whenever I take my computer into a local store I'm treated like something a Locust would turn their nose up at, whereas Microsoft gave me a brand new console. So, I suppose it's that compromise like everything else; free and slow, or fast and expensive. I took the money that Microsoft didn't charge me for the repairs and bought a longboard. It all worked out for the best, methinks.

but Microsoft giving you a new console is the least they can do. Considering its a problem that they are more then aware that their consoles are having.
  •  Good for you (none / 0)

    See you online.
