Yesterday I tried to host a match for gears a war.And it said my firewall was preventing me from hosting a match. I had similar problem hosting co-op with crackdown. Has anybody else had this problem and how can I fix it. I dont have a problem getting into a match that someone sends me an invite, except sometimes I can not connect to the host.But I dont think thats a related to the firewall or not.

      following is how to check if your router is the problem. make sure you dont change/save anything, just check for now, this is because these things are fragile and i dont want to screw up your setup.
      in explorer, enter the address http://192.168.1.1, it will ask for the pswd, in most cases its admin/admin unless you've changed it. A webpage should come up with several tabs. Now check the "Access Restrictions" and "Application and Gaming" tabs and see if any restrictions are enabled, there are several fields and most of them are self explanotry, for example i have set everyday, 24hours, Allow to all pcs and the internet access policy is disabled so all computers on my net can access the internet, and on gaming i dont have anything checked under "enabled". Once you're done watching close the browser, dont do save changes or cancel changes. just let me know if any restriction is enabled.

is unplug your modem and plug it back in. Works perfectly fine for me now.
