Laggage?

Tue Apr 10, 2007 at 08:35:06 PM EST

Okay i dont know if any of you guys have noticed, (i think some of you guys have) but when you get to a big fight in annex with a bunch of shit on screen it seems to like...slow down/lag?

I find this kind of wierd.  What i want to know is whats causing it.  Like, is it the 360 not being able to handle the craziness, the game itself, or connection quality.

It gets particularly annoying when your in a fight that will decide who takes over the weapon point in annex and the lag kicks in and you lose.  Plus when this happens it gets really hard to kind of make out whats going on and becomes kind of annoying.  I guess its not that big of a deal i just want to know if any of you guys know what im talking about.  Also, if you guys have any ideas on what it is post it up.

  •  I haven't noticed that much lagging (none / 0)

but I've only played like five rounds so far.  We got the occasional one, but for the most part, there was nothing.

i wouldn't call it shitty though, but i am used to maxing out games on PC with the sacrifice of a few framerate drops here and there anyway :)

Just a matter of optimization though, it could easily be fixed in a patch.

Not all who wander are lost

could very well be my connection, though.  Not sure if it has to do with the update, though I think it does have a little something to do with it.

  •  well (none / 0)

I played some rounds in annex and it didn't lag up more than any other game mode, maybe with all the action goin on your connection couldn't take it.

I never retreat, I just advance in the opposite direction.

  •  Check This... (none / 0)

All of the abouve. The 360 system is a computer, a computer specially designed for games but non-the-less, a computer. When a comp. lags, its because its useing to many CPUs (What makes the world go round). Its gotta deal with the graphics, other player's animations, internet connection, ect... So, if its lagging a little, theres nothing wrong with the system, its just the enviroment is pretty big...

only noticed it on Mansion and I think a big reason is the rain on the level. Also, I think there is more lag than there used to be because of all of the dead bodies now. There are easily 4 times as many gibs now that the game has to keep track of and this may affect the framerate.
