EPIC adds a new multiplayer game type

Hey Gearheads, over at EPIC's Gears of War site, they have posted the specifics on the up and coming multiplayer gametype, "Annex". You'll all be happy to know that "Annex" and several needed patches will be available for download on April 9, 2007.

Now, when do we get some maps and how much is it gonna cost us?

update on assasination

there is new rules to assasination where everyone can pick up weapons and the leader must be executed.

There are respawns! No more sitting around for 10 minutes while the last 2 guys hide from each other!

Ya noticed!

It really sounds like a complete overhaul. The HUD is getting a boost, plus the map will have markers and indicators, and respawns! Man, there is going to be some piled carnage and giblets all underfoot.

Should make an interesting FFF

If we use Annex on FFF this will make for some interesting play, since 1 user can capture a point in 8 sec and on to all 4 in 1 second, should make for some interesting choices...

says in their news story that epic confirmed the info on annex is right, but then epic said that april 9 is incorrect. I really hope its sooner rather than later.
