VGA Cable Help

So I finally went and picked up the VGA cable so I could play on my 21 inch monitor. I have to say, the picture looks rediculously good, but I have one huge problem... I have no audio. If anybody could help me out I would be VERY thankful. For my computer's sound, I use two pretty crappy speakers. The VGA cable has the red and white plugs, but there is nowhere for me to plug them in. It also came with an adapter to plug the two audio wires into a headphone jack, but when I do that, I still don't get any sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Would it be easier for me to just go out and buy some better speakers? If so, could anybody recommend a good set?

  that if you plug an Audio wire in the Headphone jack you won't get any sound because the Headphone jack can only use input not output.

    there is a converter that comes with the VGA cable. I checked out the xbox forums and it looks like I just need some new speakers.

  I don't have an HDTV and I would really like to play in HD, so this was the easiest solution for me.

you have to use (none / 0)

optical cable (which your audio might support) this is located on the plug in for 360 end. OR, if both don't work, you might have to get better audio. :)

    gotten a Y jack with the VGA cable. You should be able to plug your speakers into the green end of the Y jack. Unless your speakers have a usb connection...then you can just plug them into the back or front of your 360. Either way those are the only two ways that most speakers connect to a PC so you should have all of the components necessary.

  I have a 2.1 system (the woofer is great) that I got for an extra $50 with a Dell system. I use the adapters Blankman recommends and it is the next best thing to 5.1 surround sound.
  By the way, I have a beautiful 480i 29" 4:3 TV, but after trying the VGA cable, there was no going back to TV. The difference is astonishing. So, now, we use the 20" 4:3 monitor for all our 360 gaming.

picked up some nice BOSE speakers and they sound incredible. No way am I going back to my SDTV (even though it's bigger). The bass on the speakers I got sounds rediculous.

you can find great speaker systems for surprizingly cheap now-a-days. the ones i have only costed me like 80 bucks and they're 5.1. i usually use them for music not my gaming since they are in my room and i dont have a big tv in there. but they sound great, sub and everything. bass sounds good as hell.

bose is a really good speaker company. but werent they expensive? I thought bose was a lot. Mine are logitec just in case you were wondering.
