Marcus Left

Often time when playing a gears public match i notice a message at the bottom left of my screen Marcus Left. Now i know this happens all the time when players leave a message like this appears, but for some reason I've never seen a Marcus Joined message in the first place and then this message is without the chainsaw symbol, which shows up when a player leaves during game, so supposedly this Marcus guy joined, was waiting in the lobby while the round was in progress and then he left.

Now i wouldn't bother about it no matter how many times a player would have left but the thing is that the GT is Marcus, which apparently doesn't even have a 360 (check the link), so I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this.

It's not actually somebody. Sometimes the game takes a little bit of time to register the person's GT, so until then, it just shows up simply as "Marcus." You can hold the back button many times and see the "Marcus" change into the gamertag of the person who joined. Yes, so, it's not really somebody's GT, it's just what the game puts up sometimes just to indicate that somebody is in the game.

  i see, thanks for clearing it up. i always felt like it was my trash talking that made Marcus himself leave the game, you wouldn't want that, right :D

  I didn't know that. Kind of the default temp profile until the real profile can be loaded. ha ha ha

  on a consistan basis, haha. I've played this game pretty much non-stop since release, and from Halo, I have a [bad] habit of pressing the back button all the time. After about a month of playing the multiplayer I realized what was happening. It was really obvious when I would see the word "Marcus" change to somebody's gamertag during the round. So, yea, I guess I just kind of noticed it.

      like I said, I have a bad habit of constantly holding the back button when I'm playing, so I see it happen all the time. I just saw it while I was playing these last few hours about twice. O, and I know it's just a typo, but I read aloud "numberous" and it made me laugh, haha. I'm not making fun of you, just that particular typo sounded funny to me.
