A Question, and Idea and a Warning...

Hello GearHeads,

Tomorrow at this time we will all be playing Bioshock... What's that, you ask? Oh it's just the highest rated game of all time coming to our beloved 360's and zoso's amazing PC. So based on the thought that we'll all be getting this game, what method will you get it?
Will you camp out at mid-night at your local "open 24-7" Wal Mart or pick it up first thing in the morning? Or, maybe you have a life and will be picking it up after work and then calling in sick the next day, whatever the case may be I want to know!
Personally, I didn't have this one reserved (I know, I'm a monster) but after confirmation from a friend working at Wal Mart they actual have Bioshock right now and will putting it on shelves tonight at mid-night. BAM! Score one for Sweety.

So, to pass the time and ease the pain of the wait I propose the GearHeads gather for some Gears tonight before we all immerse ourselves in Rapture tomorrow. Any takers? We'll need someone to host (I might be able to-not sure) but either way let's get together and chat one last time before Bioshock.

And lastly, a warning- If anyone posts anything that is remotely spoiler-ish about Bioshock Zoso will break out the Ban-Hammer. I'm not opposed to it, and I know papi will be pretty upset if someone posts something that could ruin the experience for those yet to play through the game.

So, if it wasn't in the demo, save it. That goes for any matches that happens as well- please get confirmation from everyone playing before you start talking about how "A did this to B meaning D had to do this to C" Or whatever- Please be considerate and careful when posting and talking about Bioshock, because papi DOES have a 'Big Daddy' in him and you don't want to see it come out! ;) Thanks guys.

I have to wait for someone else to pick it up for me since I don't have a car, or even a Permit for that matter. And Boxin, you better play 'till late in the AM because the longer I stay up, the later I'll wake up. So if I can stay up, fall asleep, and wake up past 2pm then I'll be set.

Gamestop only does midnight releases for games that are Japanese.
i actually played the game in its Dx10 maxed out settings glory this morning. And of course it looked amazing, on top of being at least over 80fps. (after that its not noticeable.

You guys who get it early can discuss it among yourselves. I wont be getting it for maybe a week after it comes out and I dont wanna have to not come on this site just to avoid spoilers or gameplay tricks and actions that I'd like to find out for myself.

Just a heads-up (none / 0)

I am having some difficulty acquiring my copy of BioShock in any timely fashion. Apparently the Asian copy has been delayed, so my retailer is not going to be able to send it out to me right away.
The other options are Steam and the International version from Europe (360s are region coded and if I get the North American version, chances are it won't work in my machine). I don't want to go the Steam route because my computer doesn't have nearly all the bells and whistles to make BioShock ...musical.
Getting it from Europe, on the other hand, raises the price of the regular edition, to that of the Helmet edition for Halo 3, and I simply don't have that kind of cash for anything but food and clothing for my children. ha ha ha
So, as soon as my retailer receives their shipment, I am having it Fed Exed (about the extent to which I am willing to over-pay for any game) to my house (from Hong Kong). What that means is that I won't be around for a while, until I can get my hands on and complete this game I have been waiting for for over a year.

  that guy is SUCH a horrid reviewer. He even scored GEARS high, and i still hate him. He does things for attention (he scored ZELDA in the 8's).

    soo you guys know, apparently Gamespot only goes by .5's now, meaning that they aren't allowed to give 9.1's, 9.2's, etc. But still, one of it's reasons for a 9 was because of the "no combat skill". I'm pretty sure Halo has ALOT more auto aim than BioShock... Oh well, it's still a 9 right?
