Today was the greatest experience I've ever had in my entire life, at least until next years.
It started out at around 1pm and it was about 95 degrees outside, which kinda sucked since it was an outdoor concert, but it was better than rain. We (My Mom and I) started by just walking around, taking everything in. We thought we'd check out the second stage and see if someone was playing and it was Nile, which is more of a power-core Metal band, but still has the guttural vocals, and we're moving up and we're a good 20-30 feet from the stage, and it was CRAZY. I started putting the Horns (the international Metal sign - the Index finger and Pinky) and I was having a blast, but it was only the beginning. During their last song all of a sudden I get drenched from a hose that's on the side of the crowd. After Nile, we walked around and I got this awesome Lamb of God shirt which was one of two, with the second one being signed by all five band members, and I got to meet each one of them. Greatness... Anyways, sadly enough, for those who talked to me knew I was excited for DevilDriver as well, but I missed them because I was at the wrong stage, it sucked. But later in the day Lordi came on the Main Stage first and played a couple songs. I forget the order, the sun screwed me up and gave me a temporary short-term-memory loss. But below will be a list of songs each band played:
~Lordi
1.Hard Rock Hallelujah
2.The Devil is My Bit--
3.Who's Your Daddy?
4.They Only Come Out at Night
and a couple others, but I forget.
~Static-X (great show, one of my fav bands now)
1.Push It
2.Sh-- In a Bag
3.Destroyer
and a lot more, but forgot.
~Lamb of God (YES!!!!!!!)
1.Hourglass
2.Laid to Rest
3.Ruin
4.Redneck
5.Blacken The Cursed Sun
6.In Defense of Our Good Name
7.Now You've Got Something To Die For
8.Omerta
9.Black Label
10.Walk With Me in Hell
11.Again We Rise
12.Pathetic
I don't remember if they played any more.
~Ozzy
1.Bark at the Moon
2.Crazy Train
3.Paranoid
4.War Pigs
5.Momma I'm Coming Home
couple others I can't remember.
Zakk Wylde also had like a 10 minute "jam" session, played behind his head, played with his teeth, and played his own variation of the National Anthem.
All in all, GREATEST F"ING CONCERT EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
