I found this while I was checking out the article about the Gears movie possibly having a director. And personally, I cannot believe this... What's more is that it's a 2 and a half hour movie! Half the kids in the theater will probably leave early because they realize that they could just be playing the damn game.

What has this world come to? I also think the Gears movie is just going to be bad, especially if it has as much a story line as the video game did...Thoughts?

    i was never a huge fan of WoW. I guess it was just too much of a commitment to get into. As far as the movie goes, from what I know about the number of devoted fans to the game, if 1/3 of the people that play the game go see the movie then it will make millions.

    But, they said the same thing about FF the spirits within and that was a total bust on the silver screen.

    As far as the Gears movie goes, I would love to see it just to find out more about the story line of the Gears universe.

    of Azeroth has a very deep culture and fine backing stories covered by novels:: -said in nerdy voice

    But basically the are making the game based on the world and its inhabitants. It will most likely suck, but i think it will be entertaining to watch (especially if it sucks). Imagine the lines opening night... COMING DRESSED AS WOW CHARACTER FTW! ;)

    it took me to a world of war craft movie page, i was never a fan of that game, people with no lifes are though, but the gears of war movie will be good, it will be set before the game, stating during the last battle of the 72 year war, what was the last battle called, the battle of aspio fields, they released the first 22 pages of the scripped written by stuart beattie, just look up gears of war movie on google and look for script leaked, it is awsome!!! the battle just sounds awsome just by reasing it
