Clans?

Does Halo 3 support clans like Halo 2? I haven't really heard anybody talk about this feature so I'm not sure if it's still there. If so, would there be significant interest in starting a Gearheads clan? Just a thought. I mainly am just interested in playing for fun, but banding together to earn some bragging rights (maybe even get into a Bungie Hump Day Challenge?) would be pretty cool. Post your thoughts.

but there is loose talk about an update that might support the feature in the future.
Clans were never that successful of a match type so that is probably why bungie held off on it for now. They figure they can just add it later once the initial hype of the launch has settled.
You know, you have to keep people wanting more.

Well, I think it would still be cool if we could organize, and maybe draw enough attention to ourselves to end up in a Humpday Challenge. I'm reaching here, but... could be possible.
