Gearheads of War

Looks ...interesting.  He is kinda lanky and definitely walks/runs differently than the other skins in MP.  I thought I would choose him when being a locust because of his background story, but now I am not so sure.  Still, awesome that we have the choice.  Will have to see him up close, play as him for a bit before I can decide.

I've seen where it actually looks like someone playing, the wingman videos were good but I thought they were kinda lame in the sense of I couldn't tell what was going on.
This one however has got me quite excited now...

watch the whole thing but its still funny to see everyone who picks up Gears2 thinks its Gears1 and can play that way.  I saw the attempted pistol whipping and think its hilarious.  I really hope that they once this beast is unleashed into the wild that it plays a more tactical shooter and not just switch to my shotty and run at everyone.  

Im in Kentucky right now visiting family and most of them don't have computers. Right before I left I put up this diary. Now I'm in Kentucky, only being able to check this site with my phone and all these complaints come in. Yes, I know my sig is too large so after this post I'm going to try and remove it. But I really don't have as much time as others to search through every other iaru to make sure it hasn't been posted yet. If it has, and I or anyone else posts it as a diary, instead of complaining, why not just delete the damn thing and then if I ask where'd it go, someone could explain it too me. If it bothers you guys that much, just get an admin to delete it. /end of rant

wait for Gears2 to come out so this shit stops and we can start bitching about problems with the game and not cuz someone posted shit 2x.  In his defence all he was trying to do was bring another video to all of us.  I never saw it before this diary, and I know that alot of videos are posted throughout diaries.  But being at work I cant watch them til I get home and by the time I get home I lose which diary had which videos.  Elite dont take offence just ignore it, cuz once you try to defend yourself you're gonna have a whole train on your ass.  Which is becoming more and more frequent on here.  Why I have no idea, maybe we're all just a lil too impatient and need to release on each other.  In the future just state that its a repeat instead of freaking the fuck out and creating more rifts between everyone.  Its starting to become very cliquey in here

...and bring some calm to all of this drama.  Let me preface my comments by saying that EVERYONE has a point here.  I implore everyone to just walk away from this and stop the name-calling.  There’s really no reason for anyone to keep stoking the fires of argument for argument’s sake.  In fact, at this current time due to the site’s redesign, the admins cannot delete or lock any diaries.  We cannot edit or delete diaries until Jon and Jeremy resolve that bug.  In essence, this has allowed the community to self-police itself.  

Another thing, thank you for taking that sig image down Elite.  As you can see, many members use sig images in their profile that are less obstructive to viewing posts.  Please feel free to rework that sig into a smaller format because we’re all proud of our own work. ☺

The reason why many jumped on the fact that there are redundant diaries or posts on this community is the simple fact that this is not a typical forum or board.   Take a look at the official Epic Gears forums and you’ll understand what I mean.  We try to discourage clogging the Recent Diaries Section because there’s a lot of pertinent information that we want our members/readers to peruse through.  If everyone posted the same information without checking if the info had already been posted, it devolves into forums and boards that many of us avoid.  As Machete has already suggested in this diary, just use the Search function.  If you don’t have the time due to limited capabilities, just simply enjoy what you’ve found.  Everyone here, for the most part, is a diehard Gears fan.  We pride ourselves on staying abreast of any new info and revelations that are made available through every media-type.  The chances that someone has already posted that info are very high.  Don’t misunderstand me by thinking that I’m discouraging anyone from posting, but please do your “homework” before you do.

The next thing is what is perceived as a double standard when it applies to Papi’s post particularly the “Top 5 MP Maps” diary.  That is not the case here.  Someone else did in fact previously posted the link.  However, that link didn’t spark any in-depth discussion about those choices until Papi took it upon himself to set it as a stand-alone diary.  I simply think that the guys didn’t express their defense of that situation as clearly as they could have.

Folks, the main thing about this community is to respect each other.  Whether we choose to play in games together, break bread with each other, or just gather here to discuss topics; we’ve got to display civility and diplomacy.  We shouldn’t let small pet peeves get in the way of compassion and respect.  Nuff said.

I agree with Blankman of course.  On all points (very nicely done sir).  

Everyone had well thought out ideas (even while bashing each other).  It was actually pretty entertaining.  But I hope that everyone has their dignity intact and we can keep having fun together.
