Horde and Wingman teams?

Since Gears 2 is only a mere 9 DAYS AWAY! (even though it feels like a million days), I was wondering if anyone wanted to start coming up with ideas for groups in Wingman and Horde. I'm extremely bored right now so I really dont have anything else to do. But anyways, if you want, post below what teams you think would be very successful for Wingman and/or Horde. I'm gonna go back to watching a live broadcast of Fallout 3 :D

Robbins, Machete, SweetT, and Zoso, if you guys don't mind. I'd love Suns for wingman but beyond FFF that might be difficult on a daily basis, so I'll probably split between Suns and Jambi on this one.

at the end of the tunnel. Now, before everyone is lost in the game, is probably a very good time to start forming teams. Below is just some brainstorming.

Teams for Wingman should be easy to make, and there is no reason why several people can't have several wingman partners. This would be especially useful as many will have different online schedules (similiar to the point Mr C mentions above). I think each different pairing could have its own name, too.

Which leads me to my first suggestion: for both Wingman and Horde people should come up with names for their teams, much like those for "Bands" in "Rock Band". It makes for easy reference, and is kinda fun just in itself.

As for teams for Horde, I know that Blankman suggested that the admins be split up and then (at least 5) teams be made each with one admin. That is fine by me, though I don't like to think that I won't be able to play with my fellow admins. Ultimately, by definition, however teams are chosen, we won't all get to play with each other on a team anyway.

I can think of at least three ways in which teams can be chosen.
First, captains are chosen by whatever criteria, and then they choose their teammates in a sports "draft" like manner (each taking turns to pick).
Second, captains are chosen by whatever criteria. and then players put themselves on the team of the captain of their choosing.
Third, people just freely form their own teams (somewhat disorganized and will probably lead to the fat kid and the kid with glasses riding the bench a lot).

  Zos, Suns, and I are still working out the Horde League using the three methods of team formation. The three of us are so bogged down with work, life, and gaming that we haven't really put anything down in paper just yet. However, it's coming soon. Possibly shortly after the Gears 2 launch. That's a great start on letting the community know what we've been milling around on, Suns! :D

    I will do wingman any day with anyone! ROCK! I think wingman would be great to be what we use when we can't put together larger teams. I am pretty sure we will just about always see atleast one other gearhead online.
    
    For Horde Sign me up! We will need alternates for teams as well though since we have different time zones and schedules. I don't want those of us who don't have as much time during the week to not be able to jump on a team when we do get a chance to get online. I will be playing ALL DAY on the 7th other than a trip to the doctors in the morning... Going to do some ranked hosting on my sexy 28+ meg connection!

  the best. If we were to go with option 3, all the best players would team up, and it wouldnt be very fair. I for one, dont like being a captain, and choosing people to be on my team. It makes me feel like an a-hole towards the people I dont pick. I would rather be a captain and have people openly join my team, or just join someone else's team who's already a captain.

we could do captains? lol. Some of us are on more than others, (Myself, Robbins, Grymm, Zoso, Machete, and a few others) So as for a regular nightly basis set of teams we could do something out of that. For friday nights though, I say we would have to either keep it random or do some sort of captain system. Just to keep it fair.

I'm tempted on buying a regular copy of gears (none / 0)

to be able to play at midnight from GS

and wait for BB to open Friday to get my tank......

I do not want to wait 10 hours to play the game.. and be as behind as that long is too much

But I'm assuming you guys will play with who you usually play with no need to define or leave out the people who can't be on everyday. If your doing a tournament I could understand teams but in general? Maybe I'm missing something
