Bungie Pro Subscribers Now Able to Upload Vids

Sat Oct 04, 2008 at 05:13:09 PM EST

In the "Wow, Bungie is STILL supporting Halo 3 to an absurd amount" section of news, Bungie Pro subscribers (on top of everything else) can now upload their Halo 3 videos into WMV files on the internet.

First innovating with a detailed and near perfectly done replay system with Halo 3, Bungie is really taking this to the next level.

This means that now, ANYONE can create machinima without a capture card. Genius. I may buy this just to make some cool GearHeads commercials.

This is a really awesome development and is just another thing making me want to play more Halo again. At 750 MS Points a year, Bungie Pro seems like a must buy if I had a bunch of people here to play it with!

Read more about it here.

If i turns out to be some kind of campaign expansion, I might pick Halo back up again depending on when it comes out.

a really cool feature to have.  No need for a capture card, I need to play Halo 3 again :)

and Makima's, I've decided whichever Gearhead Team I wind up on for Horde, I'm gonna record and make a video out of our run-throughs so it'll be like a Highlight Reel for Horde with my Team.

On-Topic though, hell, I may not like Haylow that much, but Buhngee really is a community-focused company.

  •  Thanks for the heads-up on this (none / 0)

    It is a fantastic development.

Hey, I thought that if we bought the Legendary Map Pack, we were given "Pro Subscriber"...oh, Johann is sitting over my shoulder and just told me that it is for one month or something.  (Mind you, for 750 points a year, that isn't very much considering what one could do with that!)  Great stuff.

It would be very nice if Epic were able to do this for Gears 3.  In the meantime, I would rather have Horde and Bots, than saved films (in a world where resources are limited).

  •  Yup. (none / 0)

Reminds me a lot of GameVee Grab (which is down yet again :( ), but cool nonetheless.

My only question is the max. length of videos.  GameVee has actual people capture carding your footage and uploading it to your account.  This seems more automated, which is what GameVee Grab originally was (short, 40 second max clips run through an engine).

    We'll see.  Sounds awesome though.
