Conclusion to the wingman videos

So here it is. The final video in that set of wingman vids. Last 10 minutes of that much. Turns out to be pretty good too. Right down to the last kill. Here you go

      there is still some random code in there.  The x-factor lives.  In one of the Cliff interviews recently, he very specifically stated that the winner of the Crossed Swords battles would not always be the fastest button masher. I was really surprised and it is going to be interesting to see to what extent randomness still abounds in Gears 2.

      In his words for the doubters:

      It's pretty simple, two guys engage in a duel after both of them enabling their chainsaws and whoever presses the B button the fastest in the 2 second time frame has the highest chance of winning.  There's still a little bit of randomness in there which is okay to have, when you look at poker or blackjack there's the random shuffling of the deck.

      is because they didn't make the shotty less powerful. Only added Stopping Power and a stronger lancer. So that charging in will result in death.

      These videos feature people not used to playing the new game, so they all are probably just resorting to what they are used to.

        It just may take us a couple of weeks to really find out just how different Gears 2 really is, what with our house rule compensations and gamestyle habits etc. etc.
