So I finally went ahead and went High Def! This Friday/Saturday my new 52" Sony Bravia LCD tv will arrive. Along with it will be a Sony Bravia Blu-Ray player and Sony Bravia Home Entertainment systesm (Tuner, Speakers, etc...) It is officially the first HD TV I have owned and I will finally get to see Gears and all my other Games in 1080p AWESOMENESS! Up till now I have been standard def and I think I may be the only MS employee who did not have an HD TV. NO MORE I SAY! Give me the sweetness! The gods nectar of Shotty Giblets in all their 52 inch high def glory! GIVE ME MOAR! Can't wait till it is all setup! Now my wife and I will be able to do splitscreen in Gears without the top and bottom split! Woot!

Welcome to the HD-era, bro! Man, your eyes are in for a feast. I remember when I switched from my standard def 32" set to my 50" Sony Wega HDTV. It was such a big difference. The graphic fidelity was incredible. My wife was apprehensive on our dropping that kind of coin for a television, but even she admitted that the purchase was well worth it. Awesome!

  since the dawn of man. I have no problem with it, the game looks freakin' incredible even in SD so I'm not too worried about uppin' to HD just yet.

    check newegg for the latest deal, but i prefer to play on that than my bigger HDTV.
    
    And i got mine for a little over 200$

  spend the $30-$40, and get the Xbox VGA cable, grab any old monitor and start gaming in HD bro! I play on my monitor and its ohh soo sexy

i think you all should invest in hd (none / 0)

gaming is visually incredible, and football in hd rocks, once you go hd you wont go back. very expensive upgrade but worth every penny, great deals to be had due to the economic slowdown, circuit city filing ch 11 may encourage them to dump inventory
and you also need a good quality reciever for surround 5 or 7.1 that has optical or hdmi connections
