Community Guidelines Have Been Added

I just wanted to call all the Gearheads attention to the new Gearheads community guidelines.

You should review them when you get a chance. We just want to make sure that this place continues to feel welcoming to all while remaining above the typical message board bull.

Please let us know if you have any questions and thanks for remaining such a great part of this community.

Quick question about the politics thing (none / 0)

So does this mean there will be no political discussions at all? I understand the anti bashing aspect of it but what about something that just asks what people think of a certain policy or somethign like that.

  discussion here and there as long as people keep it civil. But often when something as important as politics comes up, the discussion becomes heated and things are said that people don't mean.

that this has to be enforced. You'd hope that with the group of guys this could be avoided, but I guess when you have enough people there are bound to be some clashing personalities. Hope it doesnt have to be enforced. I will say good job admins for creating this to smoulder any fires before they get out of control.

      It was a team effort. I would love it, though, if The Blankman would find us some of those AWESOME images he keeps adding to our diaries. I kind of rushed and had no inspiration, nor was any presented to me via Google Image searches. There has got to be some better images than that. (Actually, a while back I came across a spool of thread with the text Thread Locked. I even saved the image, but I will be darned if I can find it now. Were I using a Macintosh, I would be able to search for it on my HD. Not so with XP, unless I want to run for hours at a time.)
      
      By the way, having "policy" makes it less personal, meaning that no one has to be the heavy.
