Netflix Trouble?

We have reached day 3 of the New Xbox Experience and Netflix is the talk of the town. But just how good is it?

My roommate bought a subscription for Netflix and after trying it today...we weren't impressed. Now the internet in our apartment isn't great but it has never held me back while playing online.

Our issues included a somewhat long wait time initially (about 10 minutes), then the movie pausing and going back to the Netflix screen because of a "slowed" internet connection. After another 5-10 minutes the movie resumed with youtube-like quality.

I'm hoping it's just our internet, but does anyone else have issues like this?

And on that note, what are your Netflix impressions?

Wow that sounds bad (none / 0)

Once I start up a flick it usually starts within 1 min and then a few minutes later it will stop and "re-adjust" like the message you got. But then I'm good. hahaha actually while I'm typing this it happened again! Nice timing but it started back up now about a 30second delay. I think they have a few bugs to work out on this. It's not perfect yet, I wonder if a lot of people are watching the same thing if it bogs things down?

it runs perfect for me. Last night my internet had some hiccups and it slowed down a little bit but when my internet is running like it is supposed to netflix is perfect. The whole thing relies on how good your connection is.

I'm gonna saw me up some of that sex locust.

  Time will make this feature as big of a reason to get an xbox 360 as the games we play it on. Just my 2 cent prediction!

I actually bought netflix when the NXE came out, (none / 0)

and it's great. My one complaint is that the movie selection kinda sucks. I'm hoping they quickly expand their content available soon.

  Sony took off all the Columbia Pictures movies, because they didnt want any movies they have on the PSN, to be on Netflix and NXE.

Netflix (none / 0)

Netflix does bandwidth detection on all streaming media so that they can control the stream based on your connection. Any changes can cause it to adjust the stream and rebuffer at a lower or higher bitrate based on what they see on your connection. So if you have a bad connection, be prepaired for it.

got the 14 day free trial and have been watching some movies. I have been watching the weeds series, great show. I haven't had a problem at all with loading or anything. I was very impressed how it all works. All depends on your internet speed, when the movie loaded it played all the way through without pausing or anything. My kids have been watching charlie brown, the pink panther, sonic to name a few :)
