Hey, ya threw me a message a while back regarding my work schedule for games. What's yours? How are things going by the way? Feels like I haven't played wit h ya in a while.

Been getting plenty of love from Blank and Kenai though, which is always a good thing. Also got to play with Johann this morning. Missed ya Suns!

Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving. Should be on tonight!

Cheers, tyrus!  (Pssstt, Grymm, don't say anything.  I kinda like reading other people's e-mail anyway.)  ;)

Missed playing with you, too, tyrus!  Johann had a blast, though.

Also, this morning, I had my best run of Execution gaming since Gears 2 was released.  Playing in Slm's room with Hydro and many other awesome guys including aamoto, Windowlicker, and Degrees!  Slm put Friendly Fire ON, and it really helped to diminish the smoke grenade spam, which is currently my biggest difficulty with Gears 2 MP.  There was nothing chaotic about the original Gears MP.  There were shenanigans, but never chaos.  In Gears 2, the overuse of smoke and the stunning effect can cause an extended disorientation that often ends in a completely unforeseen, and sometimes un-source-able death.  In Slm's room, however, I was getting that old, warm, in-control feeling again.  And it was good.

  •  f-fire is a good thing (none / 0)

bottom line is there is nothing wrong with tyrus saying hi to people

no need to police nor condescend but if you guys think the diary is inappropriate then just delete this, it wont offend me

there were times tonite for fff that the smoke nades were coming in 3 and 4's at a time
it is frustrating, but people were aware of the negative effects regarding nades to your team

...and then it came to pass and rock and roll was born

    •  sorry to interrupt your discussion (none / 0)

:P but the thing with the smoke grenades is that everyone only has one. So if they throw them all in at once, maybe only you die, but you're teamates now don't have the opportunity to be smoked because they were all used on you.

      •  no need for apologies, will be interesting (none / 0)

to see if blast radius is modified with future updates.
nades aside(i use them too)game is tilted toward power weapons, but thats ok
im still trying to find happy medium for my shottie, cant seem to find the range

  •  There's nothing wrong with it at all. (none / 0)

But, he could've just put this in an email or in the Chat diary. That's what they're there for - to not clutter the diary listing.

  •  Glad you... (none / 0)

Had a good time Suns. I agree with the over-use of smokes. My only real gripe about the game is that you should be able to recover from smokes a little quicker and that the blast radius of grenades should be a tab smaller. That, and some of the glitches obviously (but that'll be remedied in due time).

Sorry I didn't show up last night fellas. Spent some time with the fam (watched Wall-E actually, cute and fun). After that, it was about 1030 EST. I'd been up since 0500 (actually when I played with Johann) and was just beat. So I called it a night and went to bed.

I find that every time I say I should be on, or say that I'll be on, something comes up. But I miss you guys and want to game with yall soon.

Also miss the Doe boys. Played with Really Doe a week or two back. Had a total blast.

      •  Well, I think that switching it back to... (none / 0)

friendly-fire turned on during this FFF was a success.  That really reduced the smoke grenade spamming.  Often times, the first thing that people had in their hands were smoke grenades.  I think that we should stick with the friendly-fire because teammates are now responsible for their teams' or their own demise.  In fact, Really Doe even commented that he was the last man standing when the 'Sudden Death' notice came up and was surprised that he had his smoke grenade left.

As far as the blast radius goes, I also think that it should be dialed back a tad.

  •  Yeah... (none / 0)

played with Slim and a few others tonight. Had FF on. Totally changed the game. Slim was laughing because at Security, I came out of the first two rounds with 7 kills and about 200 points. During one of those rounds, I mortared the shit out of everyone, including my teammates.

Missed ya again Degrees. But we'll catch up.

    •  Hey, Slm was looking for the mop (none / 0)

for mop duty, too. He hosts FF ON, but also has a heck of a time not killin' his comrades. I wouldn't have it any other way! A rip-roaring great time!  Cheers, SLM!
