Baby update....

Well after 18 weeks...
We know now the gender of my baby to be, IT'S A BOY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So hopefully he'll grow to like videogames like me and also reading from his mom, I do like comics but I prefer he gets to like big fat books just like his mom.

I'm still kind of out touch, it's a surreal experience this of becoming a father, I do not believe I'll become one soon or if I'm worthy of it all.

I want to be a loving father but I'm worrying to become an "spoiling" one, My wife and I have very high hopes on what our child with be, how we hope to shape his mind and make him grow to love what we love, but we also understand that he is an independent individual no matter how dependent he will be of us while growing, nevertheless he is it's own person with his own abilities and better yet his own personality.
I do want him to be happy but I don't want a carbon copy of me (I know he will not be)and that he will pick what he like from our hobbies and that he might no like all that we like.

In the end I hope I can give him what my grandparents and parents gave me: Love and respect for my family and fellow humans.

    I only have a month left until i become a dad.  we found out that the baby will be a girl.  Im really excited to have her be my little girl ( everyone keeps telling me that little girls love their dads).  good luck to you and your family.

      You are becoming a father before I'm and yes people were telling me until today that if the baby was a girl to be ready to have little "tea party's" and to wear a feather boa. hahahahaha

      I wouldn't mind do I knew that deep down she will end up with a pink Xbox 360 with a Hello Kitty picture slapped on to one of it sides.

      A little girl gamer nonetheless.

      Little girls are the best.  They're so freaking affectionate it's awesome.  She's always kissing and hugging me.

      Supposedly they're easier when they're younger but more difficult once they hit their teenager years.

    It's always a challenge walking the line between giving them enough and not spoiling them.  I'm trying to walk that line, but my wife thinks I'm definitely spoiling my little one and she's probably right.  I can't help it...my Dad rarely ever bought me any toys when I was a kid and that stuck with me.  I'm afraid I've erred the other way and my little one is becoming a bit of a brat when it comes to getting things.  So I've tried to pull back a bit.

      Deep down I think I wanted a little girl but, my wife Lydia did say she wanted a boy all the time, I was more like if it has 10 toes and 10 fingers is Ok with me, no matter the gender.

      Now that I know is a boy, I'm worry the same as I was before, all I want for him is to be healthy, but now is on my part to make sure he grows to be an excellent human being.

      and Hopefully an awesome gamer, as awesome as the Blankman.

    I think boys are much more fun then girls.... then girls fight all the time.

    I love my son to death and would do anything for him.  I always love playing games with him.

    Maybe you can hook up a DS to your wife's belly and she can play and the tunes will get him motivated???

     awesome man congrats to you and your wife.  I feel that they will only be little once so spoil them when you can :)  With me having a boy and a girl I get to see first hand how different they are.  Dylan is basically just like me, so don't be surprised if he is a carbon copy of you.  What they pick up from you, and like what you like, and act like you do is just strange at times.  They both like video games like I do so that's cool.  Again spoil them when you can, I know both of mine are LOL ;)
