Why Do I Love the Gearheads?

People take everything way too seriously now. With gaming increasing in popularity by the second, we have been blinded to what we're doing. We're playing a game for fun. There's no real tangible reward in most cases, maybe a symbol next to your gamertag, but usually nothing more. And yet people are willing to scream, threaten and abuse each other
So what does this have to do with me loving Gearheads? I'm glad you asked. This site is truly different from any other to my knowledge. We can play competitively, we can take a game seriously, but it's all in good fun. I think the Gearheads really know how to keep things in perspective, and remember that the whole point of what we're doing is to have a good time. After playing in my first fragfest I was completely hooked. It was constant laughing, and giggling ;) throughout the night. Everyone was relaxed and having a blast.
I didn't know that there were people on Xbox Live like this, as nearly everyone I met online was a total douche wad up to that point. After that fateful Friday night, I could never go back happily to playing with the random dickheads populating the Xbox Live community.
So thanks guys. I've been a member here for just over a year now, and the experience has always been good. It's late, and I remembered that March diary contest so I figured that I would put these thoughts down for you guys to read.
And just in case I haven't been clear about my views on the Xbox Live community, here's a graph to explain my opinion :)
