New to GearHeads...

Hey all, name's tyrus. I'm one of the guys from newspail. Love this game. I've known about yall for a while, but it was ESuns that really started talking about you guys. Most of my the people on my friends list are from Gears, and because I love the game so much, I figured it'd be good to play with people who share similar sentiments.

The rest of April is pretty hectic with my schedule, but I'll be joining in on Friday nights soon enough.

Looking forward to playing with you in May.
Just a heads-up on some Gears of War house rules here.
1. No active reload sniper shots (because it allows someone to shoot the enemy in the frickin' toe and bring them down.) We like those sniper shots clean, and ending with a "pop" sound and a headless body. It isn't unheard of for people to have made a "cheap shot" by accident or inadvertently, and then allow the downed player the time to revive and go at it again.
2. Keep the melees to a minimum (especially when you have the opportunity to go toe-to-toe with the shotties). Actually, I am a little foggy on the melee house rule, so if someone wants to chip in and explain it better, I would benefit too. Thanks.
I am not good enough to need house rules, but for the many skilled players around here, those rules increase the "skilled" kills by a big factor, and with that, the enjoyment. So, those rules have been in place for a while now.
