Unreal Tournament 3 for the 360 finally gets more details!

We'll be playing it soon! I had completely forgot about this game, but it's finally coming. No date announced, only "Soon."

Some exclusive features on the 360 version. Five new exclusive multiplayer maps, 2 exclusive characters, and SPLIT SCREEN! It seems like a lot of games are leaving out Xbox Live split screen lately, and it's really nice to see that Epic knows what's up. These features come in addition to all the DLC the PC and PS3 have received so far. It looks like the delay was worth it.

head over to IGN for a new trailer, and a bunch of new screen shots. When Midway's Gamer's day event wraps up later today, there will be more released about the game.

I don't think that they will be able to allow mods. Which was one of the only reasons I was going to pick it up.

      but people could in theory remake those maps if they felt the need and play on them. I really don't think I'm going to be picking this up on 360 unless they have some sort of way to play user created content. Plus, I already have it on PC :).

  thinking and going to post (thought I would read all the posts first though, and then got to the bottom and there was yours). It would have been the ultimate January 2008 game. Now, no thanks. I'm gonna get GTA4 and between that, CoD4, the original Gears, and the hope for Gears 2 in November - and the beautiful summer sun coming to claim some game time - there is just no need for it.

      one until I hear STELLAR reviews about the networking and party code for that game. This is Valve we are talking about and they would just as soon piss on console owners as write a line of code for them. Team Fortress 2 was my second, and at times, top most anticipated game of 2007, and the whole UI/party/networking system was so primitive I couldn't get past it to enjoy the golden nugget of a game that TF2 is.

Mark Rein announces that Gears reference in... (none / 0)

UT3 (360 version). Oh brother, I think that Epic is really stretching this knowing that the timed exclusive with PS3 might have back-fired due to UT3's late release on the 360.       missions wouldn't be worth the money. They were fun, but they really didn't fit the rest of the game's style at all.

        That checks off the last reason for being pursuaded to pick up UT3 for the 360. In fact, even if they did include a beta code or a Gears 2 level, I would find it difficult, but I think I would resist. At some point, it just becomes a matter of money and time.
        Hey, I have a question. How many units of Gears of War have been sold? How close are the figures to Halo 3 and CoD4? Thing is, it is my favorite of the three, and if it hasn't sold as well, what would be the reasons? Is it the gore (and consequently the rating)?

        sold as well because not as many people had a 360 at the time of its release as they do now, and it was the first in a new franchise. People like to see numbers after game titles because they assume that since there is more than one game in the series, it must be relatively good.

        I think the next version sells about seven million at least because of the much larger install base and the HUGE marketing push it will receive. The last I heard it was at about four million.

        at 4 mil, is that the best selling epic game ever? Anyway, that is no slouch number, but if they come through with the improvements, yeah, I've no doubt they will push 7 mil plus units. ha ha ha Thing is, anyone who owns a 360 is a hardcore gamer (if they weren't when they bought it, they are now ;) )and so the number of units sold of a MP capable triple A title are basically limited only by the install base. Yeah, I am trackin' with ya. Cool. Thanks.
