Gearheads Grifball Team??? Part Deux

Ok guys. Since there was a recent attraction to Grifball via Silva and after playing some last night with RoBBins and the oh so terrible Abe, it was brought up that we should actually follow through with joining the League. Well, after that was all talked through, I went to Grifball.com and if we are going to sign a Team up this is some of the info we need:

Preferred Match Day: Monday - Friday
Time Zone: Eastern - Central - Mountain - Pacific

Just fill in your respective response to each of the questions below and maybe we can get this GearHeads of War Grifball team rolling!

You'll also need a Rooster Teeth account as well. It's also worth noting that this doesn't mean you're signing up for the current (Spring) league. You're just signing up your team. You'll have to wait until the next league to participate in any kind of match.
But if you get a full team together, mine wouldn't mind scrimaging against you guys (we definitely need the practice, and playing with people who don't take it seriously doesn't help our team play).

preferred match day doesnt matter to me, I can play almost every day, but not ever night (because of work).
And then Time Zone is obviously Eastern.

I would love to do it though. As I've said before, it's the best game type in Halo 3. I had more fun playing that than any other game type.

And just a couple more things. Your Timezone doesn't have a lot to do with anything. The division you select correlates to the time(s) that your team can make it. For instance, my team chose one of the Friday Divisions, and play at around 8:00-8:30 every Friday. So as long as you select a Division (they base it in Central for the divisions) that has a time at which all of you can make it, you're fine.
And even better, I just remembered that they had to cut a few teams from the league (9, in fact), one being from my division. So there are spots open, and as such I'd recommend you email grifball@roosterteeth.com and see if they'll let you in. There were some late entries last season, so there's a good chance you could be accepted. The only downside is that you'll be down two weeks of play, but I'd go for it anyway (better to have some record to carry over for next season than none anyway).

        Two matches per week. However, you are right in assuming it doesn't take that long. Usually around 20 minutes for both games, parring any unforseen issues (since you play one right after the other).

  Having a player marked as "Defense" is basically the sign of a totally new team (noobzzz). In an actual match, playing Defense is suicide for your team, whether you have the ball or not.
  Offense and defense switches so much that during a match, you don't want to have one guy sitting at the goal as defense anyway. You want him out there in the "field".
  My team found that out the hard way our first time around. I was "defense" then too :(. We won, but I definitely learned from that.
  Your best bet is a lot of Hybrids and Blockers. and remember the max team player count is at 8 everyone, so there's still a bunch of spots open.

        thanks for clarifying that. Ok well we still have room for reserves, and I'm fine just rotating Gearheads in every game. I'm not taking this too competitively, so if backups want to get in I'm ok with sitting a game here or there.

        As I've heard (unfortunately we haven't done this), it's usually a good idea to have a game of all your team mates together before your match (so 4v4) to find out who's doing good that night and who's not doing to hot.
        That's something I'm going to be looking into soon. Definitely makes sense.
