Gears of War 2 Look-Alike?

Came across pictures in the GameInformer magazine everyone is crazing about..

Do the Halo 3 Aliens look almost similar to the Gears of War ones? Take a look :

Maybe they are coincidental that they both have the same helmet and their look looks almost alike.

Oh well, Gears of War 2 will stick rock!

Sadly, Games For Windows has been shut down. One of my favorite magazines.
