This is just a quick warning to everyone on the site. Earlier today, my xbox 360 elite broke.

So i put my 120gb hard drive into my other 360 (a pro unit) and i load up GTA4... only to find out ALL OF MY SAVES WERE GONE.

Apparently your saves don't stay on your hard drive.

Ouch.

Anyone have any suggestions?

That sucks!!!!

But it makes sense, the save system can be strange. My roomate tripped over my power cord and somehow I lost all my saves back when I was 5 hours in.

My advice would be to rant and rave to customer support...I got a free wireless headset out of it =)

Weird

I just HDD myself and didn't suffer the same problem. Very odd.

Yeah

apparently it is not a constant glitch. IDK what else could have happened. I literately did nothing else but swap drives. I will spend more time trying to figure it out tonight.

Another GLITCH on XBL

btw David,

When i clicked on your gamertag (which was appearing online in TF2 last night), it brought me to Ark Angel's gamerprofile with your gamertag above it. It also would just change to his gamertag randomly even though i hit yours in the first place.

Then i went on GV Jason's (i think it was his) xbl account and opened your profile through his friends of friends list. And it didn't happen and you were offline. But when i backed back out to friends, you were online again... in TF2 lol.

Sorry to hear that, Zos

That proprietary HDD scheme is a real mess.  I know that a while back Captain Crunch lost MAJOR XBL points when he transfered his data to his Elite.  Microsoft never refunded them, either.  It is a real mess.

Wow i thought...

Everything stayed on that unless the BIOS of the the elite holds the 120GB but can't you put a 120GB on a 20 GB?????

Sorry to hear of the crash, too much GTA4???
