he i ran across this on yahoo. this is gonna get gears 2 so much attention!! Looks like gears will get the media hype that halo3 got. Great stuff. its gonna be huge! i hope i post it right.

people just need to learn when to be quiet. There is FAR more worse things going on in this world to even worry about things like this. We (GearHeads) play this game probably more than anybody, are we going around using chainsaws on people in our society? NO we are not :) Games don't make people violent, enough said. Thanks for the story Texas :)

      as a customer adviser (more like punching bag). Man the customers we get when they complain. Christ there like woman taking a dress back to Debenhams, the look on the face "Money, shit, fuck you". I swear the next person to come to me and complain i'm gonna grab a chainsaw off the shelf and shove it right up there..... you get the pic ;)

  Mad Bungie (sp?) - I just deleted his name from the Meet The Gearheads list. He is a really nice guy, and probably would have played with us for a lot longer, but timezones and lag were too great a barrier, I think.

work at a post-grad uni here in Japan, and I took my Xbox to show people there games like GTA-4 and GOW - many of the people that attended did a heap of browsing after the session and the opinions/research is so mixed. No contrete proof either way.
I did have some amazing reactions to GTA though. Some people just felt strange watching it, some (I think) felt guilty for getting into it, and most just took it for what it is - a cool game. :)
Banning violent video games is just stupid IMO, but well setup age restrictions is fine.

Germany's involvement of WW2 started with Poland, but since nobody really cares about it, allow me the benefit of the doubt to link the beginning of what was considered unacceptable Nazi aggression (that is, the annexation of Austria, Poland, Czech states, et.all was considered "acceptable") with the invasion of France.
The greatest barrier to France (which Germany conveniently went around the side of) was the Maginot Line (put simply, the biggest piece of cover in Europe).
What did Gears of War reinvent?
The cover system.
Thus, Germany's banning of Gears of War is the continuation of their fight against cover.
On a separate note, World War I (the catalyst of World War II) was caused by Serbian rebels, not German stormtroopers.
