Ok, help again

Alright, it doesn't deal with the notorious female this time around. Instead, I want guitar help, so I'm pointing fingers as Zoso and, well... Machete... haha.

I wanted to maybe get an acoustic guitar, then once I learn to play that, then actually get an electric guitar. Now my budget may or may not be bad at all. About $200-$250 range. I just need a good starter acoustic. That either is in the that range, or is below that'd be great, but if it's not too much higher than that's fine.

(And BTW, it doesn't just have to be Zoso or Machete who reply to this. Anyone that knows something about guitars should voice their opinion!)

I would definitely take some lessons if possible. Starting off on acoustic is a great idea, it will help strengthen your fingers and teach you some chords.

ebay an epiphone hummingbird. Or a dove...
If you are ballsy get a EJ200, i am a big fan of jumbo acoustics.
But to be honest, learning guitar is actually much easier on an electric guitar (believe it or not). You can practice quietly and just fine on an electric not plugged in until you can afford an amp.
If this interests you, tell me and i will get you a great electric for that price.
Musiciansfriend.com is great, but EBAY is the king of all that is good deals on equipment.
Also, check your local craigslist.

    If you practice regularly it won't make much of a difference really. Sometimes starting with low guage 9's and working up is a good way to stop from hurting your fingers. And easier to get down bending techniques and vibrato.

I've been playing for awhile. But I started on my electric and went to acoustic about 3 years ago. I love my acoustic. I got a beginners set to start. I went to Sam Ash and got a Fender solid top for about 200. Came with a bag and is great for starting on the acoustic. That would be my biggest suggestion is getting a solid top it will sound better. No matter what you get just play alittle everyday. It's a great way to keep your mind off of things!!
