Anyone have a fix for a scratched disc?

So I FINALLY got a new drum kit for rock band.YES! But now of COURSE the disc refuses to be read by my 360. I looked at the disc and you can see a few scratches that must've been caused by the console itself because my discs go right from the console back to their cases, no playing frisbee with them in between. So for awhile I used toothpaste to fill in the scratches which worked for a few weeks, but now that I have my new drum set it decides to no longer work for me...figures...so I'm wondering if anyone out there has a quick-fix method for repairing (permenantly or temporarily) discs that have been scratched. Any suggestions will be very helpful and appreciated :)

At my local video store (none / 0)

they have a machine that fixes discs. Gotta pay like 2 bucks. but its worth it.

    They have them here in Indiana and parts of Ohio. But I don't know if they have them where you are.

      GameCrazy stores (part of Hollywood Video) will also buff/repolish your game discs for a small fee as well.

  Oh man, i cant believe i scracted my disc, i think im going to sit here and eat a banana,
  Oh crap i dropped my banana on the disc, my hands are to sticky i cant grab the banana, and it keeps smearing on the disc.
  Well how do i get the banana gunk off my disc im out of paper towels, oh the banana peel is sitting right there maybe that will help get the banana off my disc.
  Wow, that banana got rid of all those pesky scratches

  you would have tried that. HOwever, since you did and say it works, I will be trying that next time I have a problem with a disc. Truth is stranger than fiction, is all I can say to that.

    trying it, but I tried it and it works. I was really surprised, but if your disk has a major scratch like a ring around it this will not fix it.

my Rock Band disc (none / 0)

is completely useless now, and theres absolutely NO scratches on it. WTF!

  near me that sells disk scratch remover in tubes. You could look for something like that.
  Also I think Gamestop can fix your discs for you. I sold them a scratched game to them and they took like $2 off for fixing it.
