Oh Crap, They Have Shotguns!

I had a lot of fun getting back into FFF last night.  I only played for about an hour and a half, but it was a blast.  I got to play with Gearhead Hoot for the first time and was the recipient of one of the funniest friendly kills ever.  It was on Fuel Depot and Hoot and I were the only ones left against I think three Locust.  I was coming around through the warehouse to Hoot's position and to also get more booms.  I was in a roadie run and came running up and was going by Hoot where he blasted my head off with the shottie, mid-roadie run.

Everyone was laughing at that one when I wound up on the lobby.  SweetTea and Robbins were the other ones on my team playing against Really Doe, Aamato, JohnEMidnight and Degrees of Freedom.  I thought we were going to get out collective asses handed to us because Really Doe and aamato tend to be invincible.  And we all know how sneaky JohnE is.  Even with Robbins and his rampant head shot ability.  Still we held our own most of the night, winning I think all but one of the matches.

It was weird playing Gears after not having played it for a long time (I played for a little while last week but before that it had been about three weeks).  The weirdest thing about it was that the boom shot was the most consistent it had been for me.  Possibly ever.  I can only remember two times when the gun didn't do what it was supposed to do which probably explains why I had one of my best evenings of FFF ever.

      see you at all, Papi.  We need to grab some games together.  It's been way too long since we played some Gears together.  Robbins bounced over to my room & let us know that you were appearing off-line.  We played with a new Gearhead named Teddy Terrorizt, could you please validate his account? :)

        I had to switch my account because I'm literally obsessed right now with FIFA 08.  I've got like three different seasons going and I want to finish them before NHL 09 comes out in early September.  I felt especially bad because I'd get invites and voice messages weren't working for me so I haven't been able to reply.

        But yes, we definitely do need to get in the same room soon.  I didn't see you online in the time I was there.

    after papi's room closed, johne opened up a public room and we(johne, really doe, infidel)proceeded to crush the competition.  we were absolutely ruthless and dominate.  very fun to just kick the shit out of the public sector

    btw the opening to the bejing olymipics was unfucking real. did you guys see that?

    was one of the most frustrating nights for me. EVER. None of my headshots would register. There was one on Fuel Depot where Hellfire was out of cover shooting at someone, and he had absolutely no idea that I could see him. I had my crosshair perfectly placed on his head, and when I pulled the trigger it literally went right through his face. I was sooo angry. But, the "stand-up" headshot that I got on Really Doe on War Machine made up for it :P Anyone up for some Gears tonight before 10:15pm EST?

    "I feel shame" :0 It figures when I'm dancing around trying to dispatch an adversary it takes me multiple shots. Throw a little Fog of War in there (ok panic) and I get the disemboweling one shot kill on my teammate. I think I'll yell out "Marco" next time and wait for the appropriate response :) Lastly, I will no longer stand there and watch an opponent get up only to have them kill me because I wasn't sure if it was "my down" ouch! I had a great time playing with everyone and thank you Papi for the invite.

    to play with you guys again. I hadn't played Gears in a long time, and it took me a few rounds just to remember my controls (I'd been playing Bad Company and that got myself all screwed up).

    Most exciting part of the night was ABE's (I think it was him anyway) double-kill with the torque bow. I would have liked to have played longer, but my drunk friend called me to ask for a ride. Such is life on a Friday night...
