For those of you who enjoy gaming with me and my fellow gamers at The Few, thanks for the good times and I'll see you on Live. Grymm you and your handfull of loud mouthed hoodlums who use brash language and profanity to substitute for originality and mature dialogue, the immaturity that you have displayed throughout these exchanges is really a disgrace to you and the community you claim to represent.  I will leave but it's only because I have legitimately tried to reason with you, and you've displayed to me that you are beyond reason.  I wouldn't want to be a part of a community, even if it's passively, who's site admin's and mod's allow their members to treat others this way.  What's the point of having moderation if folks like this are able to flame and ramble on in what is nothing more than psycho-babble?

Your behaviour, language and tone is disturbing on a few levels.  I know that you will respond to this with some semi-witty, profanity filled retort that you stewed on for a while and I'm alright with that knowing that I was able to let you guys know how simply amazing this is, for all the wrong reasons.  For all of you guys that are legit and mature about forums, dialogue, posting and gaming I can't help but ask why you have been so removed from this, I would've thought that you guys being the upstanding and all around cool guys I've known you to be would've led you to weigh in on some of this stuff with a voice of reason, but instead you've been silent.

I know that some of you have wondered why I continued to try and defend my position and posts, really it's just the principal of the thing.  Even if this is just gaming, and a hobby I can't help but weigh in were I deem appropriate.  Well I've called cheaters-cheaters, haters-haters, lame rules-lame rules...you get the point.  I offered an intelligent and well informed opinion and while you guys couldn't actually formulate a legit argument you sure filled in nicely with "asshat" and "f-off" didn't you? ;-)

And so with my last post I will use a quote that may not apply directly but I think you'll get the jist of it.  I'm sure this will be largely ignored and ridiculed, but I'm alright with that, after all this is just gaming:

    you wanting to defend yourself in certain situations. I would probably be inclined to do the same thing. Sometimes it is best to let things go though. I don't necessarily have a problem with you as a person per se, just the fact that you like to melee and that you called our rules dumb. The reason we have the rules regarding melee is because the melee in GoW is cheap. Hence why they are removing it from GoW2. I'm going to throw out this challenge to you though Pre. Once Gears 2 comes out we have a friendly battle. You take your guys from the few and we take ours. Since this whole feud happens to be centered around a game, I say we settle it with a game.

        I called Gacky a cheater because everytime he came into a room, the connection, frame rate and play-ability of the game dropped off the charts.  I've played against plenty of people who kick my butt, I have NO qualmes with getting owned.  

        In regards to the calling him a cheater, I stand by my conviction but I will not back down on that one.  It was either cheating or he had the WORST connection ever in history...I've gamed with 3Suns who is halfway around the world and his connection made Gacky's look like 9600 baud rate null modem from back in the Diablo days. ;-)

          I never had a problem playing with Gacky's connection.  He never came across as a person who was THAT competitive that I would consider him a cheater.  He is a laid back guy.  And doing well in school as he didn't even bring his xbox with him.

          As far as being silent.  I was also silent when you called members on our site "Neanderthals".  What kind of "proper dialog" did you expect after saying things of this nature?

          I don't like the way people attack each other from time to time, but they also find a way to work things out.

          I asked you privately to just let things settle down and I would even help you find a way to re-engage at a later date.  You decided against this advice.  Now you say you are leaving...

      I appreciate your thoughtful post and I completely respect your opinion regarding the melee.  To each their own! :-)

      As for the friendly match, it could only be that.  I wouldn't want a match like that to be an extension to Masters Few or our members, the beef that some of you have is with me, not the site.  So if we were to have a match like that, it would have to be friendly, respectful and for all the right reasons...gaming!

     have never responded to anything you have written or anything anyone else from this site has written to you. Personally I have enough stuff going on in my personal life to fight over the internet.  I find that extremely childish and don't want to participate in that.  Life is too short to worry about what someone post about me on a gaming community.  I like to be the bigger man in situations like this.  You kept on posting and yes a lot of the members here don't like you for making fun of the rules that we implement to a (broken) game, and calling gacky a cheater which is totally ridiculous for doing, he's a great guy and I truly enjoy gaming with him.  So I say to you have a great life with the few and enjoy Gears 2 when it comes out.

    A primary function of this site is to let all of the members express themselves without fear of being silenced or moderated. The moderators here are very lenient, however, they do not tolerate racial and inappropriate comments and slang. Flagrant attacks directed towards any establishment are sure to have negative repercussions.

    This is not how to deal with the issue. The mature action would have been to walk away. Instead, in a selfish post to get the "last laugh" and one quick swipe at your opposers, you created this diary. This will only fuel more resentment towards you.

    I love the melee, I use it all the time. But when I play with the Gearheads I do not question their rules and I don't use the melee, it's as simple as that. Even though this means that I play with them less often, you still have to respect their customs. However, even in your comments you are blatantly refusing to see the other side. A pleasant "agree to disagree" is just plain ignorance.

    is that people say offensive things all the time. I'm certainly guilty of that. But you take what you want from the community. That's why I tend to remain silent when issues like this pop up. I found a good group of people to play with and talk to about random stuff. They have rules. As a member, I have to abide by them. When I don't want to I play with members who play Gears as it is, or play with other buds on my list. The world is full of dousche-bags. I'm sure you have a few in your group. You can micro-manage things or let it grow. And even if you micro-manage it all, whose to say you're right or wrong? Honestly, the admins aren't always right about things. They're imperfect and biased too. Ultimately, people need to stop getting caught up in bullshit and enjoy being around others who share a similar passion, namely, this GAME! When I want to deal with drama, I'll walk outside. I don't care for it on television or in gaming. I want an escape where I can kick back and have fun. To me, this community provides that. There's shortcomings, but I overlook them and focus on the whole. With that mindset, I've always had fun.

    Sure, I've been kind of an ass to you, but I think it was justified.  There were multiple occasions where you came in and shit all over the site.  You don't see any of us going on MF and telling you how to run your site.

        Awesome, I highly recommend it if you don't mind paying a hefty tuition (I didn't get any financial aid, either, so that's part of why I say that).  But yea, it is nothing short of amazing.  Coming here was the best decision of my life, hands down.  I wish I could check here more often and find all this drama, but it's busy around here!  I miss you all, Suns, Kenai, Machete, Grymm, Robbins, Jambi, Chris, Boxin, Zoso, Papi, SweetTea, hopefully I'll start checking this site out more now maybe post some more!  Peace out, girl scouts (o and sorry about the intoxicated post, you all can delete it if you want (I kind of wanted to, haha))!

          it's one thing to read up on a school and even visit it, but you really find out the most about it by talking to the actual students. I would love to go there and I think I may have the scores, it's all a matter of my essay and tuition at this point.

                Pretty shitty, actually.  I believe it was 1730, with a 630 in math, and 550 in english and writing.  So yea, definitely below average for here (I think the average SAT score for my class was around 1850 maybe), but I wrote an excellent college application essay (VERY important, take a lot of time on that).

                  York University (Near Toronto) and didn't complete the questionnaire, do an interview, create a portfolio, or write an essay. All i did was apply, but i had gotten into the program I wanted at Ryerson (downtown Toronto, its fucking sweet) so I just didnt bother with the other stuff at york. I ended up getting accepted to the program i applied for at York but also got 2-3 other letters being accepted into other programs I didnt even apply to haha.
