Angry Aussie Strikes Gears

Finally, after many months and plowing through the holiday slough of games that were released, our favorite Aussie dubbed 'Yahtzee' takes a stab to the groin of Gears of War 2.  The review isn't really detailed, mostly focusing on campaign...if he had played multiplayer or even gave a care, he wouldn't have liked it so much.  Yes, he actually enjoyed a game this time around, but that doesn't mean he can't skin it over a pit of flaming zombies.

The main complaints he conjured are the usual things other critics have pointed out: the testosterone lead atmosphere, belligerent A.I., and the lack of a solid story path that is in-depth.  To this, he found himself not enjoying the emotional aspect between Dom and Maria, which I suppose felt either flat, over exaggerated, or just plain old screwed up in its execution.
The review is enjoyable, though it may not be WPA due to its vulgar nature.

And off I am again for another long absence...nah, just joking.  I have a few articles set to be posted next week.

    to love Yahtzee!

I'm a pretty normal guy. I do one weird thing. I like to go in woman's room for number 2.

my favorite part in the entire game is when Dom finally finds Maria. I thought that whole scene was done exceptionally well. I almost cried....

That scene was done very, very well. That was one of the most heart-wrenching moments I've ever experienced in a game. Epic needs to really understand how they did that and apply that kind of emotional surprise throughout the entire experience.

I have ever experienced in any game, have all been playing Left 4 Dead. Nothing like the agony of leaving one of my Gearhead buddies to the undead horde, while I run for safehouse, so that somebody can tell our story.  Seriously.
