The "It Wasn't Me"   FFF-Re-cap

I will get this re-cap going, y'all can add your tales (please do!).  :)

I am calling it the "It Wasn't Me" recap, because it wasn't me who started the evening with a TF2 room. Honest. That was Kenai.  I'm not arguing though.  As soon as he, his thirteen year-old neighbor, Johann, Timothy, Cornie, and I got going in a room (again, by his invitation), Gearheads started loggin' on and jumping in with us.  It was all very serendipitous, I think mostly because the Stanley Cup winner had just been decided, and people either wanted to talk about it or forget about it.  ha ha ha

Anyway, aamato, Boxin, CiRCuiTz, Creeper Nate, Blankman, Giggles, Zoso, rED, Jambi, and Infidel all joined and we actually needed to restart the room with all slots reserved for Friends only!  I can't tell you how happy that made me feel.

Lots of laughs, great conversations, and praises of the Joy of Gaming followed as hearts were light, and deaths frequent and often comical.  At one point, Zoso jovially and insightfully said that it was hard to take the game seriously.  A little later, when one of the matches seemed like it might never end (I think we set it for too many points), one of the teams went all spies, and then all medics.  It was a hoot and on that note we switched to L4D, determined to make the match reasonable.  It worked.  Blank, Infidel, Johann, and Timothy beat us (rED, Grymm, Zoso, and I) by a relatively narrow lead of about 400 points.  11xx - 7xx.  Great game with some incredible team efforts.  One of the most devastating slap downs was coming out of the safe room in the sewers.  3 feet out the door.  That is about all we got.  Totally overwhelmed.  I can imagine how Blankman would have been hollering and trash-talking us.  

From there, we eventually settled on some Gears 2 Private Warzone with tyrus, Rage, and Legend joining us.  I hosted.  LOL.  I have to say, when you host, you don't worry about the fact that your shotgun takes so long to reload, because you never need to reload.  One shot basically takes care of things. LOL  My apologies to Legend.  While I had zero lag, she had double.  :(

Lots of fun!

A couple of random notes:

 *Grymm is a beast at TF2 (110+ points in one of the matches!).
 *rED is no slacker either as, on one occasion, he single-handedly sapped 5+ buildings in a stealth blitzkrieg that left the enemy base completely vulnerable to capture.
 *Infidel's skill, especially in L4D, ....jeopardizes friendships.  ;)
 *In protest (of last weeks announcement), Blank switched his gamerpic from Louis to something not Valve.
 *In protest, my Avatar is still Mr. Molyneux.
 *I had a 20 point damage pounce on Infidel.  BABY!!!!  
 *Zoso witnessed that pounce.  Baby x2.
 *Johann "learned" how to play the spy.
 *Nate kicks ass all over the place as pyro
 *L4D is all that.  I am weak.  I will buy.
 *Zos enjoyed Gears 2.  He did.  He also had some incredible grenade throws.
 *Host doesn't help aiming ability.
 *I am full of love.
 *Infidel's new headset...we are all grateful for it.
 *I typed this whole diary buck naked.
 *By the time You are reading this, I probably will have put on underwear.
 *papi was missed, but knowing him, he was probably doing something even more fun than gaming. hee hee hee ;)

    I had so much fun last night. Even though at times it seemed like I was hating it, I was just in the heat of the moment and frustrated, but it was great gaming with you all last night. Still haven't had any sleep yet! I might get some shut-eye soon though cause I gotta do some roadwork all day tomorrow and hopefully a little hockey time in later today!

    Yeah, a little laggy, but a little bitchin and killin and it was no biggie, we learned to play. Great fun had by all - hope some of us canget together tonight :)

    Oh and mostly killed by Johann! !haha good game lol, no hard feelings ;)

    This week was my first week of work (which meant an hour and a half-2 hour commute to and from work some days) so I went to bed suuuper early!

      In the meantime, Nate was representin' the Wanglers with much to be proud about.  Too bad he had to leave so early.

      Understood about work, and the commute.  Sweetie, my average bedtime during the week is before 10:00pm.  I honestly don't know how the non-in-school-ers can game past midnight on a Friday night.

    after L4D. Otherwise, I would have played some Gears. This was a very long work week for me. TF2 was extremely fun. Man, I love playing the Medic. On one game, I was just being Nurse Betty to all of my teammates. I was bouncing back and forth between, Zos, Nate, Johann, rED, and Timothy.

    After we switched to L4D, I finally got my 'All 4 Dead' achievement with the Tank on the final game. Woo hoo!!!

    Friends don't let friends two-piece.

      mention of you (Medic), Nate (Pyro), and Johann (Soldier/Spy) getting the MVP in at least one game.

      It was hilarious to watch you throwin' down your beam of blue, ghostbustin' as it were, the ill-health blues of ALL your teammates.  You must have put up some monster numbers in healing.

      You got ALL 4 Dead!!!  Doggonit!  And you never even mentioned it in the lobby.  ha ha ha  Good stuff!

    I thought we would just warm up with TF2 for a little  bit, but you know how it is...

    Momentum..   People just kept joining.

    It kept getting more fun.

    Especially Aamato bashing my brains in with the bat all night! lol

    It sounds like a blast.  And I don't mind playing some TF2 if all I do is try and run around trying to kill the other team.  That's fun.  LOL

    I went and saw the Hangover and it was really funny.  Although I was in a pretty full theater where people were laughing and laughing so I think I missed half the jokes. I guess that's the sign of a good comedy.
